I kicked up my board and caught it before sitting on the edge of the ramp.

I'd been here with Tristan and Dylan for an hour and a half. I didn't have shit else to do and I got bored again after taking Tatum to get frozen yogurt like I promised.

Dylan came and sat next to me.
We just watched Tristan. He was inarguably the best skater out of the three of us. Me and Dylan aren't bad, but Tristan's a fucking prodigy. I think he'd been doing it since he was five. His dad was a skater too.

Tristan's cool. Not to be confused with Trevor. The dick that slept with my girlfriend and blocked me when I found out because he knew I could beat his ass.

Tristan's that friend that doesn't talk a lot but when they do it's hilarious. He talks less once you get to know him, ironically enough. It's because he tries to make strangers comfortable first so he speaks to them so they ease up.
He's universally funny. I've never seen him not make someone laugh and he's completely clueless about it.
He's also super supportive.
He's been to every one of my home games. And every home and away game when I played in high school. He even went to Dylan's grandfather's funeral with him since Dylan was so torn up about it.
I couldn't because we were out of state.
And no matter what time it is, he always picks up the phone. You can rant to him and he'll listen and keep it to himself. He's also the best dressed asshole I've ever met. Like he's gone viral five times on social media over it.
I swear to god everyone needs a Tristan.

"What's up?" Dylan asked.
"Nothin'." I shrugged. "You got chips or something? I'm hungry."
He grabbed his bag and opened it. I watched to see what he'd pull out.

It was a granola bar. He handed it to me.
"Are you a fuckin' mom? What is this?" I asked.
"It's good! If you don't want it, give it back!"
"Shut up." I started opening it.
"Exactly."

I took a bite.
"Mm..." I looked at the wrapper.
"Good isn't it?"
"As fuck." I admitted.
"See. Next time just say thank you. I know what I'm doin'." he stated.

Tristan skated upwards and kicked his bored from under his feet. He caught it then sat next to me.

"You guys wanna grab something to eat? I'm starving." he stated.
"I'm down." said Dylan.
"Yea." I agreed.
"Where'd you get that?" Tristan asked and pointed at my granola bar.

My phone started to ring.

I took it out of my pocket and gave the granola bar to Tristan to eat.

I looked at the contact and it was Daisy.
I answered a little too fast and got up.

"Hello?" I answered.
"Who's that?" Dylan asked.
I started walking away from them.
"Is it your girlfriend?!" Dylan asked.
"He has a girlfriend?" I heard Tristan ask. "You have a girlfriend?!"

"Koda?" Daisy greeted.
"Hey, Daisy. What's up?" I smiled.
"I'm back. Where are you? I have something to give to you."
"Oh, uhh...I'm at the skate park right now." I answered.
"Oh..."
"Did you eat?" I wondered.
"Um...A bit ago. But I didn't really like it."
"Do you wanna come with me and my friends somewhere? I already promised I'd grab something to eat with them." I stated. "But...I wanna see you..." I admitted.
"Yea...I wanna see you too." she said softly.
I smiled and covered my mouth with my hand like a simp.

"Okay, I'll be there to get you in a minute." I told her.
"Okay."
"Bye."
"Bye."
I hung up.

I sighed dramatically with my hands on my head.
Then walked back over to the guys.

"Where are we going for food?" I asked and grabbed my board.
"Charlie's? I want a burger." Tristan stated.
"Dude, yes. Charlie's has the best milkshakes on the planet." Dylan agreed.
"Alright. I'll meet you there after I run home."
"Why are you going home?" Dylan asked.
"Picking up Adaeze." I stated.
"Who is that?" Tristan asked.
"Remember that girl I told you lives in his house now?" said Dylan.
"Ohhhh..."
"You just told him about her without me?" I asked.
"It was a short conversation. I just told him why I didn't go to the skate park that day."
I rolled my eyes. "I'll meet up with you."
"Alright." they responded at the same time and got up.

I went to my car and put my board in the backseat.

I climbed into the driver's seat and drove off.

I didn't go inside because it felt pointless so I just texted Adaeze to let her know I was outside.

She came out.

She looks so good.
I know I saw her earlier but she looks so fucking good.

I realized she was holding something behind her back as she hurried to my car with a smile on her face. She's cute.

She climbed in and faced me.
I chuckled. "What's up?"
"Close your eyes." she smiled.
"Alright?" I closed them.
"Hold out your hand."
I held out the hand that wasn't on the steering wheel.
I felt her place something soft in my grip.
"Open."
I opened my eyes.

I snickered.
It was a small stuffed dog with big eyes. It was cute. It was like a stuffed black and white Shiba Inu.

"It's cute!" she said happily.
"It is." I chuckled.
"It reminded me of you so I bought it." She sat normally and started buckling her seatbelt.
"How?" I wondered.
"Because it's cute. And you two kind of look alike."
I laughed in shock. "You think I look like a Shiba Inu?"
"Is that what it is?"
"Yes!"
"Then yes."
"Wooowww."
"It's cuuuteee! Don't be upset."
"What if I don't wanna be cute?" I teased while I put it on my dashboard, facing the windshield.
"You're not just cute." she responded and looked at me. "You are cute like the puppy. But the other ways I'd describe you, I wouldn't say about a dog."

Oh...

"Where are we going?" she asked.
I started reversing out of the driveway.
