Three weeks have passed since Nikolai adopted Arielle. My sweet little girl. She follows me everywhere, and cries when I have to leave for school. I'm almost done with my law school. I'm so excited.
Nikolai has been playing this dad role a little too good, he's overprotective of her already and assigned her two guards. She's three! Our parents reacted like we expected. They fell in love with her. My mom comes over everyday just to see her.
And Nikolai's dad spoils her with multiple gifts. Katerina who's now 7 comes over and plays with her as well.
Im currently getting ready with Cynthia, we're going out to eat with the whole family. I was dressed in a light pink dress, Arielle was dressed in a white dress with a pink bow in her hair that Nikolai put on her.
"Momma, I'm hungry." Arielle tugged on my dress and Nikolai came in and picked her up making her squeal with laughter. A smile formed on my face and I took in the sight of the two of them. My most precious people on my life.
They both walked out the room and Cynthia finally finished curling my hair. "You look drop dead gorgeous. You'll have all the men's heads snapping in your direction." I laughed. And put my heels on and grabbed my purse.
When coming downstairs Dimitri was carrying Arielle and she talked to him about her toys. She would sometimes struggle with some words, stop to breathe in and then try again. Dimitri always assured her every time she would stutter or when she'd get overwhelmed.
"There's my beautiful sister! And fiancé" Aleksandr says as he hugs me and then kisses Cynthia. "Mommy!" I picked Arielle up and then we all headed to the car. We drove to the restaurant and our whole family was there chatting. I felt happy with life. Nikolai and I started a family, he treats me better than ever and I thank god every day for him and everyone in my life.
"You look gorgeous Delilah." I couldn't help but blush at Nikolai's comment, even in our 20s he still manages to make me feel like that giddy teenager who just had their first kiss. "And you look handsome." He smiled at me, and we continued to eat our food and joining into the conversation.
I think like an hour passed,when we all decided to leave the restaurant. " ugh I feel pregnant." Cynthia says next to me and we laugh at how bloated she was. "Boy or girl?" Arielle says bouncing happily. My sweet girl.
"No Elle I'm not pregnant." She looked confused and then got sad. "But you said you pregnant, your belly is big! I want a friend." Arielle looked like she was going to cry until Dimitri picked her up and she looked like this conversation never happened as she started playing with his watch.
I looked behind me in search for Nikolai but he wasn't here, neither was Ronan and Mr. Mikhailov. They must have had something important to do. We all walked down to the beach that takes us on boat rides.
Nikolai was already there talking to the one in charge, he took my hand and helped me on the boat, Arielle was still with Dimitri and we made sure she had a life jacket on.
I sat down looking down at the water and the sunset, Nikolai was rowing the boat and we all laughed when we heard Arielle screaming with happiness. I couldn't help but stare at Nikolai, he looked so happy staring at our daughter his eyes full of love.
I always knew he would be a great dad, but seeing him with Arielle makes me melt into a puddle. The sun went down and we were then surrounded by floating water lanterns. I gasped and teared up. "I know how much you love tangled baby. So I did something as similar to it." This man, is the love of my life.
Our family was laughing as they lit up their own lanterns and let it up in the sky, me and Nikolai did the same and I watched as all the lanterns flew up illuminating the sky. When I turned to look at my family they where recording me and I smiled in confusion.
I turned to see Nikolai and my heart beat at a fast pace. My man was on his knee holding a small box in his hand. I'm going to pass out and fall into the water
It's happening, what do I do? I'm already crying great. Freaking pumpkin pie, I'm such and ugly crier.
"Delilah, when my ten year old saw you, sitting in the classroom looking so beautiful, I knew it was love at first sight. Because I had to have you Delilah. I made a promise to my dad that day, that I was going to marry you. You make me a better version of myself, and over the years I watched you grow into this strong beautiful woman. Words can't describe how in love with you I am. Delilah Morecelli will you marry me?"
I was a crying mess, I nodded my head not being able to form words, I sat down and hugged him. "Yes, a thousand times yes." He kissed me softly and I couldn't stop crying as he put the ring on my finger. I turned to my family and cried even more.
Not only did he managed to recreate the scene from tangled but he proposed. I'm going to go into a cardiac arrest. We rowed us back to land, and I ran to hug my parents.
"I'm freaking engaged, to my childhood crush mami. I told you I was going to marry him didn't I." We squealed as we hugged each other, and then Ronan hugged me and I cried even more.
"Finally I can actually mean it when I say to. everyone your my daughter in law." Mr. Mikhailov came over and hugged me congratulating me.
My brothers were smiling at me and Elijah of course was tearing up. Katerina came and squealed as she hugged me. "Finally! I've been waiting for this moment since I was five." We both laughed and couldn't help but admire my ring.
"We're both engaged now!" Cynthia squeals as we hug each other. This is one of my favorite days, me with my family and the love of my life.
Despite everything I been through I managed to find happiness. Nikolai saved me, I think we we're always destined to be together. Because I've never felt this way for any other man. He's my soulmate, my best friend and protector.
Nikolai grabbed my hand, and kissed my ring on my finger. "Never take this off Delilah. I want everyone to know that your mine." I nodded and stood on my tiptoe to kiss him.
We all headed home after saying our goodbyes Arielle wanting to go sleep over with Nikolai's parents. "You look so beautiful today sunshine." I couldn't help and blush. When we got home he unlocked the door and I walked two steps inside when he picked me up and led me to our room.
"I'm going to fuck my fiancé until she's begging me to let her come." Holy chocolate chips.
