Y/N rung the doorbell eagerly. Her small suitcase was next to her leg. The cold winter air had her missing the summer weather.

The door flung open revealing her older brother, Nico, "Baby sis."

Y/N hugged her brother grateftul to be in his presence. He rubbed her back as he ushered her inside. Y/N blew warm air into her cold hands and took a look around.

"You really went through with buying the house." Y/N stated proudly looking at their family pictures on the wall.

"We did grow up here." Nico took her suitcase and put it by the staircase.

"I know it just feels weird."

Y/N followed him into the living room where his friends were playing video games. They shouted at the television as they frantically cliked the controls.

Y/N recongized many of them from her teen years. They all grew up together so she felt like they were her brothers too. Except for one.

Y/N smiled at them, "Hey."

Her interest was quick. She followed Nico into the kitchen hearing his friends shout their greetings.

"What's good, Y/N!"

"You staying? When did you get back?"

"Hey."

Y/N unzipped her coat. She watched her brother pull chicken from the oven. The smells of his famous buffalo chicken dip made her stomach growl.

"Where's Oak? He's not coming for family dinner?" Y/N tried to hide her disappointment.

Nico looked up at her from the mixing bowl, "Why you askin? I thought y'all dead that shit a long time ago?"

Y/N placed her hands on the table, "Relax, Nico. I just thought he'd be here."

Nico turned his attention back to the dish, "Yeah, okay. Just don't do too much. He's probably coming tonight. He's been staying in the guest room."

After a delicious dinner and evening with her small made up family Y/N laid in her childhood bedroom. She pulled the covers back on her small twin bed.

Her old twinkle lights set the mood for her. She began reminiscing about her teen years in this bedroom.

Her thoughts began racing even more. Sighing she looked at the clock. It was almost midnight. Y/N sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes.

She tipetoed down to the dark kitchen. Her feet enjoyed the chill of the tiled floor. Y/N opened the freezer pulling out some icecream.

Her back was turned when a figure crept behind her, "Y/N?"

She turned letting her long braids swing over her shoulder, "Hey."

Oakley eyed her nervously. The keys to the front door were in his hands. He wasn't prepared to see her again. Y/N could feel his eyes burning down her body taking in her figure in her crop top and shorts.

"When did you get back?" He whispered and looked to the staircase.

Y/N pushed the spoon in her mouth, "Today. I'm only staying for a few days."

Y/N placed the ice cream tub back in the freezer. She gave him a soft smile, "It's nice to see you."

Oakley watched her walk away. Disappointment filled the air. Y/N cuddled back into her bed trying to get some sleep. Her thoughts raced as she tried to take her mind off of Cee. Thirty minutes went by.

She placed her fluffy pillow over her face groaning into it. Her ears perked up as she heard her door creak open. Y/N sat up on the bed looking at Oakley in his sweatpants.

"You awake?" He asked closing the door behind him.

Y/N nodded pulling back her blankets. Oakley crawled into her bed resting his warm body behind her. Y/N placed her head on his chest. With their legs intertwined Y/N began to feel sleepy.

Inhaling his cologne Y/N rubbed his bare chest, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was visiting."

He rubbed her back creating random shapes on her skin, "Don't worry about it. I know the deal."

Y/N snuggled closer to him. He kissed the top of her head.

"It's crazy though. You still can't sleep without me." He whispered laughing.

Y/N smiled, "I missed you."

Y/N's eyelids felt heavy. She began drifting in and out of sleep. She fell asleep in his arms.

"I missed you too. One day I'll get to call you more than a friend whenever you're ready." He whispered into her ear.
