It was well before any form of acceptance or rejection notice from U.A would arrive but Izuku was already packed. Partly because he doesn't have much apart from clothes and his All might collection he rebuilt slowly. Most of his luggage would've been his countless notebooks if his father didn't persuade him that they would be safe left at home. That was the other reason Izuku was packed and ready to go. The Aizawa's are moving.

Much as Izuku loves sharing a room with Hitoshi even he has to admit the morning rush hour for the only bathroom in the apartment isn't the highpoint of his day. Izuku was opposed to moving at first but at the news that there would be three bathrooms at this house... Well Izuku started packing that same day.

Izuku was rummaging in his notebooks for specific one. He's been looking for it since his father managed to get all his old ones from the police lockers. He knows it's not there but he keeps looking for it. Hoping he'd just not missed it the first four times.

"Izu dad wants to know if you wa- you ok dude?" Hitoshi said while walking into their room

"hmm? I'm fine. What'd Dad want?"

Hitoshi sighed. "come on Izu what's up?"

"Nothing's up, why'd Dad send you?"

"Since when do we lie to each other, obviously you aren't ok dude. Or does you face just leak for no reason?"

"I'm not - what?! What's wrong with my face?" Izuku touched his face confused only to find it wet with tears. He didn't even notice he was crying. He turned his body away from his brother and brought his knees to his chest and rested his head.

Izuku scoffed through the tears "It's so fucking stupid. I know it's gone. I've looked like over ten times, tried to convince myself I must be blind and just missed it. But it's gone. . ."

Hitoshi moved to sit next to his brother and rubbed his back. "What's gone? Want me to help look?"

"It's the only notebook I had a few pictures in. Pictures before everything changed." Hitoshi was handing out tissues he somehow had on him. He listened intently letting his brother explain. "There's one where it's like my third birthday and my mother and father are still happy to have me." Izuku took the tissues he was offered and wiped his nose.

"She was a miserable bitch but like she was still my mother you know." He made pointing motion to his chest and was pushing his finger against his heart, desperate to convey his point.

"Screwed up as that may be part of me I guess will always love her." He gave a bitter laugh while shaking his head. As if his body felt compelled to disagree with what he just said. They sat in silence for a bit and then new tears started to fall.

"It's just that picture is the only proof I had that I'm not a mistake. My parents made me when they were happy and full of love. Even if I killed that and then eventually them..." Izuku put his head on his brother's shoulder.

They sat like that for a bit before Hitoshi broke the silence "I get wanting to know you're not a mistake..."

Izuku sat up and looked at Hitoshi "How so?"

Hitoshi got a distant look in his eyes "I used to have sister. . . Her name was Himari." Izuku could see this is taking a lot to talk about for him.

"You can tell me if you want to Hito-nii but don't make yourself sick trying to ok?"

Hitoshi nodded. "Just don't leave me when you I tell you."

Izuku took one of his brother's hands in his and squeezed it "I promise I'm not going anywhere."

"My sister had a blood sickness and she had to get transfusions regularly. Problem is she had a rare blood type because of her quirk. For a while my mom's blood was close enough but she got sicker the older she got."
