Turns out that watching the sports festival was far more enjoyable than actually participating. Don't get the wrong impression, Izuku had tons of fun, and coming in second place is nothing to sneeze at. Compared to watching the second and third year's days, though? He would much rather be seated in the stadium cuddling and cheering with his boyfriend.

The only thing that would have made it any better was if Hitoshi was there, too. Happy and cheering on with them. He's been acting weird since the first day of the festival.

Izuku brought it up with their dad again. He keeps assuring Izuku that he'll look into it. Izuku wants to trust that it will all work out. His dad is one of the few good adults, after all. Something keeps nagging on him in the back of his head, though.

Then again, it might just be something in the water... Iida has been just as weird since the festival. Whether that has to do with the now awkward relationship with Uraraka or something else, nobody knows. Her outright lie has placed a rift between not just themselves but the entire class and the dorm life atmosphere.

To her meager credit, she isn't solely responsible for that. Among the other things that have put a slight damper on the atmosphere back at the dorms was Kaminari and Kirishima's relationship. More so the timing of it than the fact that they are together now.

Nobody would've been more glad than Izuku to see Kirishima get past his internalized homophobia. He even saved his life for crying out loud. His choice of date, though?

Granted, after a remarkably calm conversation with him, it became clear that he had no idea Kaminari had even been in a relationship with Hitoshi until recently. Izuku has yet to gain the level of sainthood required to not murder Kaminari mid conversation. Thus, he's been staying away from him...

The sharp beep of the coffeemaker brought Izuku back to his current surroundings. He poured a cup for Hitoshi, who, as expected, came shuffling in not a moment later. He grumbled his thanks, and shuffling slowly made his way to the living room. When Izuku joined him with his own much weaker coffee, the news was on like every other morning.

It was quite different from the typical morning news that the class would sometimes watch before class, though. Instead of the usual replay of the last week's Hero fights, there staring back at the two of them was the headline -

DISGRACED NUMBER #2 HERO ENDEAVOR ARRESTED

On TV running on a loop was a very angry looking Endeavor being shoved into the back of a police wagon. Quirk canceling cuffs and neck brace tightly secured. Izuku knew he had faced quite the backlash for his quirkists remarks towards Tsuyuu and those with mutation quirks. He didn't think that the brainwashed command to confess his crimes worked that well.

"Whoa... it actually fucking worked. The bastard really did it."

"Still can't believe you're better at my quirk than me..."

"I'm really not, though. You just haven't trained enough with it. I'm just lucky that apparently, mental quirks flow along the same road, so to speak."

Hitoshi hummed in disgruntled agreement, and Izuku had no chance to cheer him as the rest of the class seemed to wake up simultaneously. One by one, they made their way to the kitchen only to be distracted by the looping video of the #2 Hero being arrested.

A general chatter fell among them about Endeavor always seemed more like a villain than a hero. Izuku found that highly irritating. Just last week, some of them had mentioned how they are hoping for a chance to intern at his agency... Hound dog's words echoed somewhere in the back of his head, reminding him that not many people grew up like him, expecting the worst of others.
