Love Never Lost

Showdown: Part 2

Brooke's POV:

Mikey: "I think I speak for all of us when I say..."*screams*

Raph: "What the heck is that thing?"

Leo: "It's the end of the world!"

Donnie: "Actually, it's just the end of humanity's reign as the planet's dominant life form."

Leo: "Now? Really? Y-you're going to do this now?"

Donnie: "Well, excuse me, but it's how I deal with stress!"

Raph: "Well, maybe it doesn't have weapons. Does it look like it has weapons?"

Right then, the ship opens fire at us.

Leo: "I think it has weapons."

We veer to avoid getting hit, Mikey and Donnie crashing into each other and onto a nearby rooftop. Meanwhile, the ship's ammo tears through our wings, so Leo and I land on some mattresses by a dumpster while Raph falls into it and crawls out.

Donnie: "Are you guys all right?"

Raph: "Been better."

Donnie: "What do we do now?"

Leo: "We need to talk to Splinter. Come on."

We all rush down into the sewers towards the lair but find it empty upon arrival.

Me: "Hello? Sensei?"

Donnie: "April?"

Raph: "Spike?"

Raph finds Spike in the living room while Mikey walks into the lair. We soon follow after him to see Mr. O'Neil lunging to attack him. We all hold him to the ground and disarm him.

Raph: "What the heck is going on here?"

Donnie: "Guys, check it out."

Donnie pulls on the back of O'Neil's shirt to reveal a small device. After Donnie removes it from Mr. O'Neil's neck, he takes the device into the living room to inspect it.

Leo: "So what is it?"

Donnie: "I think it's a mind control device."

We all turn as Mr. O'Neil groans.

Donnie: "Mr. O'Neil, are you ok?"

Kirby: "I've done something terrible."

Me: "It wasn't your fault, Mr. O'Neil. Just tell us what happened."

Kirby: "It appears the Kraang have formed an alliance with your enemy, Shredder. That's not all. I fear Shredder has handed April over to the Kraang."

Donnie: "Shredder kidnapped April?"

Raph: "Sensei must've gone after her."

Donnie: "So where is April now?"

Kirby: "They're taking her to the Technodrome."

Me: "That must be the ship."

Raph: "We just escaped that freaky sphere and now we gotta break into it?"

Kirby: "In a matter of hours, the world we once knew will be gone. The Kraang want April to help in their conquest of Earth."

{Time skip}

We head into the street to see Kraang deploying pods to abduct humans for experimentation.

Leo: "We gotta get in one of those pods."

Donnie: "But how? There are 8 Kraang-droids between us and there." 

Me: "We could create a diversion."

Raph: "Excuse me. How many did you say there were?"

Leo: "Eight."

Mikey: "We could all dress up like robots. Sneak in."

Donnie: "Or I could try to override their security codes by-"

We all turn to see Raph having taken out all eight Kraang-droids.

Leo: "Or that might work. Let's go."

I nudge Raph's shoulder with a smirk as we all fly off in a nearby pod.

Me: "Why must you always be such a show-off?"

Raph: "Gotta do something to impress my girl."

Me: "Well, it's working."

Raph: "Brooke, if we don't make it out of this, I love you no matter what. You know that?"

I smile as I lean my head against his shoulder.

Me: "Yeah. I love you too, Raphael."

Raph kisses my forehead as the pod enters the ship.

Leo: "Ok, this is it. On three. One, two, three."

I lift the lid as we leap to get out, only to float through the air.

Mikey: "I think the Kraang for got to pay their gravity bill."

Donnie: "It appears they've generated anti-gravitons."

Leo: "Is there any way for you to generate anti-anti-gravitons?"

Donnie: "You mean gravitons?"

Leo: "Yes."

Donnie: "No."

Mikey: "Guys, I'm gonna throw up. Or down. Or maybe sideways. But one thing's for sure. I'm majorly gonna throw."

Me: "We still have a job to do. So let's go."

We all grab onto a passing pod before leaping into a nearby tunnel to avoid getting caught.

Mikey: "Yo, zero-g is banging. The Kraang should turn this into a carnival ride."

Leo: "Uh, I think they're more interested in using it to destroy the Earth."

Mikey: "It could do both."

Suddenly, we hear a loud screaming from afar.

Donnie: "It's April!"

Raph: "Can you say that a little louder? I don't think the entire Technodrome heard you."

We all turn to see a swarm of Kraang in the entryway of the tunnel.

Raph: "Never mind. They did."
