{A/N: I'm skipping over 'Monkey Brains' since I don't see Brooke's presence in it having any significant changes}

Brooke's POV:

April & I are walking side-by-side along the streets of New York while the guys pop in & out of the shadows as they follow our path. April gets tired of this and turns to speak to them.

April: "You guys wanna speed it up a little?"

Donnie pops out from the shadows, evidently ahead of us by a few steps. April turns to face him in surprise while I follow her gaze with a calm look.

Donnie: "Are you saying turtles are slow?"

Raph & Mikey appear a few feet behind us.

Mikey: "That's a hurtful stereotype."

Leo appears directly across from where April & I are standing.

Leo: "Trust us, April. We are better off keeping a low profile. We find people treat us better when they don't know we exist."

April: "Sorry. I'm just so excited to get you out of the sewer for a change."

Raph & I each send her a confused look.

Raph: "What are you talking about? We go out all the time."

April: "Yeah, but tonight you're going to do something besides hitting people."

Raph lets out a disappointed groan as he looks to the ground.

Raph: "Aww."

I giggle before sending him a sly smirk.

Me: "Don't worry, Raph. Knowing us, the time to kick some shell will come sooner rather than later."

Raph sends me a similar smirk.

April: "Don't worry. You're all gonna love this noodle place I found."

We turn back to face Donnie, a nervous look on his face as he twiddles his thumbs.

Donnie: "And you're sure we'll be welcome?"

April: "Oh, yeah. Mr. Murakami doesn't care what you look like. In fact, he won't even know what you look like. He's blind."

Mikey: "Awesome."

Raph hits Mikey over the head, causing him to reconsider his previous statement.

Mikey: "I mean, for us. Obviously."

April turns to me with a look of confusion.

April: "Brooke, how are you not surprised at how they're ahead of, at pace with, and slightly behind us?"

I gesture my hand out toward her.

Me: "2 months."

I point my thumb toward me to emphasize my point.

Me: "10 years."

She nods with a small laugh before we all turn to walk to the noodle place. A few feet away from our destination, April stops walking. We all hear glass shattering from inside the establishment.

April: "Oh no."

We all rush to follow her before stopping outside the restaurant to look through the window. We see a trio of guys beating up a man that I assume to be Mr. Murakami.
