Karai's Vendetta: Part 2

Brooke's POV:

Gotta admit, this is pretty awesome! Too bad the guys disagree.

Raph: "This is not awesome."

Leo: "Seriously, Donnie? A submarine powered by bicycles?"

Raph: "You know what would've been more efficient? Swimming."

Mikey: "Ha!"

The guys are all panting, while I'm pedaling with ease.

Me: "I actually like this. It gives me a chance to increase my cardio."

Donnie: "Thanks, Brooke."

Raph: "Show off."

Me: "Takes one to know one, Red."

Donnie: "Guys, kinetic energy is the only way to charge the engines, which should be done right about now."

The guys stop pedaling with relieved sighs.

Leo: "We're almost there. Up periscope."

Donnie deploys the periscope, which turns out to be a recycled toilet bowl. I snicker while he shoots Donnie a glare from behind. Nevertheless, Leo looks through the periscope with a gasp.

Leo: "Uh, Donnie? Any chance this Kraang facility looks like a giant sea mutant?"

Donnie: "Oh, that's not a mutant. Based on his physiology, I'd say the Kraang brought him back from Dimension X."

Leo: "How is that less horrifying?"

Donnie: "It's not. I just like to be accurate."

Raph: "Well, whatever it is, it looks like it's guarding that."

We look through one of the windows to see the Kraang facility.

Leo: "Let's go stealth."

{Time skip}

Once the sea monster's distracted, we stop beside the facility windows to see a group of Kraang standing guard.

Leo: "We gotta get in there before that sea monster comes back."

Mikey: "How are we gonna get past those guards?"

Me: "We make them come to us."

Donnie directs the submarine to grab a large rock and crams it up the Kraang's chemical depository. A pair of Kraang-droids inspect the blockage while we sneak in via the facility's roof.

Donnie: "We're in."

We look to our right to see that the sea monster has returned.

Raph: "And that thing is back. How are we gonna get out of here?"

Leo: "We'll worry about that later. Right now, we've got bigger fish to fry."

We rush down the hall as Mikey chimes in with a joke.

Mikey: "I don't think we're gonna find a fish bigger than that."

The guys groan while I chuckle.

Mikey: "What? Come on, that was good. You guys gotta give me that one."

We sneak into a room full of Kraang-droids.

Leo: "Ok, we have to be quiet."

Donnie: "Do you have to say that every time? We're ninjas. We know how to be quiet."

Right then, Donnie gets a call from April, and all our eyes go wide. The Kraang open fire while Donnie answers the call.

Donnie: "April, hi! It's not a great time. Wait, what?"

I shove Donnie out of the way as he nearly gets blasted.

Donnie: "Karai's after April. We gotta help her!"

Me: "We can't. Just tell her we'll be there after this is over."

We split up as Donnie repeatedly tries to call April every two minutes.

Leo: "Donnie, focus! April can take care of herself."

Donnie: "Against Karai? Are you kidding? I've gotta help her!"

Me: "Donnie, you won't be much help if you get blasted in the head."

Donnie: "Good point."

Meanwhile, Mikey takes out two droids at once.

Mikey: "That's a two-fer! Thank you, and thank you-"

The droids rise back up, so Raph & I take them out for good.

Miley: "And thank you."

Raph: "How many times have I told you? No celebrating till the fight is over!"

Mikey: "How many times have I told you, I assumed it was over?"

Raph pulls Mikey's finger backward as Donnie slides over to stand between them.

Donnie: "Children, children! We have to go!"

Leo: "Um, have you forgotten about a little something called 'completing the mission'?"

Donnie: "But April's in danger!"

Raph: "If we leave now, the Kraang will poison everyone in New York, which, last time I checked, includes April."

Me: "Think, Donnie. How do we take this place out?"

Donnie: *sighs* "Well, the chemical is highly explosive."

Mikey: "How do you know that?"

Donnie: "Partly because it has a hydrocarbon on its outer ring, and partly because of that sign. Raph, do you think you can get this blaster open for me?"

Raph pulls out one of his sais.

Raph: "With pleasure."

Donnie: "But before you do, be careful you don't-"

Raph stabs the blaster to pull the lid off, and nothing happens.

Donnie: "Oh good, we're still alive. Now, I'll short out the power supply and leave it by the chemical planks. It'll overheat, and the whole place will go boom!"

Mikey: "All right! Victory dance!"

Turtles & I: "Mikey!"

Mikey: "Or maybe later."

Donnie leaps up to the chemical tanks, places the blaster on them, and sets a timer for us to escape.

Donnie: "There, in about 90 seconds, this whole place is gonna blow."

Me: "All right, let's move!"

Donnie calls April to check on her and let her know we're on our way as we walk out.

Donnie: "April, what's your status? Ok, we're on our way. We'll be there soon."

Suddenly, the monster's head pops out from the bottom hatch and lunges toward us.

Donnie: "Actually, there might be a slight delay."
