Chapter 90

"WOW!" Jelsey uttered and laughed. Pagkatapos nitong samaan nang tingin si Heubert na nasa tabi niya ay tumingin muli ito kay Jeffrey. "You now have the guts to call me a bitch, huh? Hindi ba dati ay para ka lang langaw na nakapatong sa kalabaw?"

I never thought that there would be a scene like this between them. Dati'y asaran lang bilang magkaibigan ang nakikita ko sa kanila. Now, it's all ruined. Of course, it's because of Jeffrey. His attitude has brought him to hell.

Jeffrey's expression darkened as she stared to Jelsey. "We had a contract. It's not as if you helped me."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi ni Jeffrey dahil sa pagkabigla. How dare he say that? We even helped him from Noel's assault and got him to his popularity right now even after we suspect his deep connection with Noel. "Ang kapal talaga ng mukha ng isang 'to. WE FUCKING HELPED YOU!" Jelsey hissed while her mouth was left in awe.

"So nagbibilangan na pala tayo ng ginawa ngayon?" Jeffrey asked and smirked. "Nakakahiya naman sa lahat ng impormasyon na binigay ko para makalaya 'yang hayop na 'yan?" sabay tingin nito kay Anthony at dinuro pa nito.

"Oh, so it's a tie na, gano'n? Tapos kakampi ka sa isang ex-convict at pipiliing kalabanin at gawan ng katangahan si Christine sa biglaang pagpasok mo dito? Uhaw na uhaw ka ata para sumikat----?"

"WALA KANG ALAM!" Isang malakas na sampal ang natanggap ni Jelsey mula kay Jeffrey kaya tumumba ito. Halos mapanganga ako sa sobrang gulat ng nagawa na niya talagang saktan si Jelsey at sa mukha pa talaga ah! Anthony instinctively punched Jeffrey while the cameraman ran outside.

Dahil nagkakagulo na sina Anthony at Jeffrey ay hinila ko na muna si Jelsey palayo sa kanila para tingnan ang mukha nito. Her face was red, but she never touched it. "Do you have CCTV here?"

"N-No. Kakapasok ko pa lang ngayong araw, Jelsey. Hindi ko pa nga nalilibot ang bawat kanto ng opisina ko nang manggulo sina Jeffrey dito." I answered and tried to reach her face, but she didn't let me. Pulang-pula talaga ang mukha niya't dumudugo pa ang kaniyang labi. "We need to treat your wound----!"

Hindi ko na natapos ang sinasabi ko nang biglang may magtapon ng tubig sa mukha ni Jelsey. Nang tumingin kami sa kung sinong may gawa no'n, nakita namin ang demonyong mukha ni Heubert. "Oops. Sorry, it slipped!" He was holding a mini glass flower vase. Maybe that's where he got the water.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I asked and stepped forward to put Jelsey at the back. Jelsey was too busy to wipe the water off her face and her dress. Si Heubert naman ay nakangisi lang habang nakatitig sa amin. "Why did you do that?"

"One thing that I learned from being caught is to never leave evidence." Heubert said and smirked. Napatingin ako kay Jelsey na ngayon ay pinupunasan na ang kaniyang basang mukha. That is when I realized that Jelsey's protecting Jeffrey's fingerprints earlier when the latter slapped her. She's preserving it to press charges against Jeffrey but now, it's gone. Fucking thanks to Heubert. "I did a good job, didn't I?"

Dahil nandilim na ang paningin ko ay hinablot ko sa kaniya ang babasagin na flower vase at binasag iyon sa sahig. Habang hawak ko ang isang malaking bubog ay itinutok ko ito sa kaniyang leeg habang hawak ko ang kwelyo niya. His eyes widened as I stare at him full of horror. "Why don't I just finish your life now? For good?"

"Christine!" rinig kong tawag ng isang babae na kakapasok lang sa pinto. It's Severina Hemsworth. Hinagis ko sa sahig ang flower vase kaya mas lalo itong nabasag, sabay sipa sa ibabang bahagi ni Heubert. I pushed him away as he was holding his crotch. I looked at Severina while Jelsey and I were leaving Heubert. "The police are coming."

As if on cue, the police came and was rushing into my office. Inawat nito ang dalawang nagsu-suntukan na si Anthony at Jeffrey samantalang inalalayan naman nila si Heubert na sakit na sakit pa rin sa sipa ko. One of the police came to us and asked as questions. Ironically, it was Rayver Marquez, the son of Heubert Marquez. "What happened here?"

"That damn reporter barged in here while broadcasting live without a permission. Together with your father. They even started a fight." I said while standing firm. Si Severina naman na nasa likod namin ay tinutulungan si Jelsey na ayusin ang damit niya.

"Itong boyfriend mo ang nagsimula ng away, Christine!" sigaw ni Jeffrey habang pinahihinahon ito ng mga pulis. Si Anthony naman ay natawa na lang habang papunta sakin at inaayos ang kaniyang suot na damit. He didn't have any bruises in the face. Mukhang si Jeffrey ang talo sa kanilang dalawa.

"Shut the hell up, son of a bitch!" sigaw ni Jelsey na nasa likod ko. Si Severina naman ay pinakakalma siya habang ang pulis na nasa harap ko ay pailing-iling na lang.

I came closer to Rayver and whispered to his ear, "You better make your father sit quietly, Rayver. Convince us to not press any legal charges. Baka maghimas ulit ng rehas 'yang ama mo." Nang bumalik ako sa kitatayuan namin ni Anthony ay nginisian ko lang si Rayver.

The latter was not moved nor intimidated by what I have said. Ngumiti lang ito't umiling. "You know what? I'm just a police here. Hindi ako santo para magpatahan sa isang demonyo." sambit nito sabay alis.

I was stunned by what he had said. What does he mean by that?

Hinila na ng mga pulis palabas ng kwarto ko sina Jeffrey at Heubert pero bago pa sila makaalis, humarap muna sa amin si Jeffrey at ngumisi. They all stopped as Jeffrey stopped to stare at us. "I've got some good news a second ago. Na-discharge na daw yung baliw niyong kaibigan?"

I instinctively looked at Jelsey and Severina after Jeffrey said that. It was late when I realized that the three of us were now running outside, heading to the parking lot, to go to the hospital where Charisse was taken care of.
