Chapter 40

-months later-

I walked up on the stage as they called my name. I excepted my diploma and shook hands with the people on stage.

Claps and cheers were all I heard. I heard Matt and most of mine and his friends yelling for me. I smiled as I looked out in the crowd to find mine and Matt's family.

I walked off stage and sat down. I waited until they called Matt's name. As soon as they did all I heard was everyone cheering. I smiled and watched him. The football team went wild as he walked on the stage.

I began to tear up as he excepted his diploma. He looked straight at me and smiled at me. He walked off stage and we waited for graduation to end. After it was over and all the things were said and done everyone scattered.

I was in a crowd of people who were congratulating me until I found my family and Matt's. Mom and James hugged me and then I went on to Matt's family.

"Where's Jayden?" I asked as I looked around.

"Ave!" I heard him yell as he ran up and hugged me.

"Hey" I laughed as he almost knocked me over from the hug.

"I'm proud of you kiddo" he smiled.

I smiled back and laughed. I waited around until I found Lucy and Jack and Jack. I hugged them and told them congratulations. We all talked until Sammy came up to me. He hugged me and told me how proud he was of me. I told him the exact and thanked him.

We talked until I got distracted from trying to find Matt. Matt's family left to find him and my family was somewhere else. I walked through the crowd looking for him. I bumped into someone and was taken by surprise.

"Oh I'm sorry" I said.

"Oh it's fine babe" he smiled.

I slightly looked up to see Matt standing there smiling down at me. He picked me up and twirled me around. He connected our lips and smiled into the kiss. I couldn't help but smile too. I saw a camera flash and we stopped.

I saw my mom had taken a photo with her camera and we laughed. He set me down and kissed my head.

"I told you you would make it. Look at you now. I'm so proud of you" he whispered in my ear.

I couldn't help but let a tear slip as he told me that. I hugged him and looked at him.

"I love you" he smiled.

"I love you too" I said.

We found all our friends and talked to them until we finally left. We got into Matt's car and went to his house. My mom was going home with James and said i could go to Matt's. I was more than excited for tomorrow.

We had officially graduated.

"Matt" I sighed. "I couldn't have made it here without you"

"I'm here for you no matter what." He smiled.

We went to his house and I went up to his room. I went to his dresser and picked out a tee shirt to put on considering I was in a fancy dress.

I slipped it on and it smelt just like him. It was big and comfy and I never wanted to get out of it. I laid down on his bed and got on my phone. I went on Instagram and posted the picture of us my mom took.

It was so cute.

I posted it and tagged him. I was satisfied with life now. I never thought I would say that.
