The cleanup of Hilltop made the colony feel and look like a brand new place entirely.

Though that did come with the price of everyone's hard work making Gregory feel as though he pulled all the weight himself- as if.

"We are not granting.. These.. These people access to our home," he stutters with a look of disgust.

"These people saved our asses," Daniel mutters just loud enough for Gregory to hear.

"Young man-"

"And they did more than you in the entire war with the Saviors," Taeyang says, looking Gregory in the eyes.

"Those people are Saviors!" Gregory huffs.

I glance outside the office to the other room where Maggie was speaking with the group that was once prisoners. Alden, the man that went with us to the Sanctuary, held a saddened look in his eyes like he could hear Gregory's argument to us- like he knew he was about to be kicked out.

"They were Saviors," I rephrase, crossing my arms.

"Look, Anna, I understand that you think you have to make it up to them after killing their leader-"

"Okay, Gregory," Taeyang sighs, stepping closer to the desk, "I'm gonna need you to stop. You of all people have no say so over anything to do with the war when the only thing you did was try and sell us out."

"I am the leader of this colony," Gregory reminds lowly.

"Are you?" Daniel asks.

Gregory is quiet for a moment, turning to look at Daniel with a gaze that would've made anyone else feel like dirt on Gregory's shoes.

"Why yes," Gregory remarks, "I am the leader here. I'm the man in charge."

"Had me fooled. I thought our leader was a woman that had more balls than you," Daniel shrugs.

Gregory's eyes darken, leaning forward in his seat and scrunching his nose, "Well, I'm glad I could remind you that I have the authority here."

"You know," Taeyang taps his knuckles against the desk, "I agree with Daniel. I was thinking we had a different leader, too."

Taeyang looks to Gregory for a few more seconds, cocking his eyebrow before turning to look at me, sending me a smile that made my heart jump.

"What about you.." he trails off, looking back to Gregory with emphasis, "Hana."

"I don't think that Hilltop's leader was someone else.." I begin.

"Exactly!" Gregory points out.

"I know it was," I finish.

Gregory's hand hits the table as his shoulders slump.

"Someone was calling the shots during the war. Someone definitely led Hilltop to safety. Someone stayed loyal to the people here and kept them optimistic. And that someone most definitely wasn't you, George."

"It's Gregory," he reminds.

"Yeah, that's what I said," I shrug off.

"You say that you're the leader," Taeyang recalls, "And we believe that someone else was.. But, the only thing that really matters is what everyone agrees on. Correct?"

Gregory doesn't respond, only looking up to where Taeyang was beside the desk he sat behind.

"How about we put it to the test, then?" Taeyang wonders.

"How so?" Gregory cautiously questions.

"Hmm.. A vote," Taeyang names, "Everyone votes for the leader. Like the old days."
