Waking up the next morning to an empty bed was strange as Beth stayed at Noah's last night.

Though, as I walked out of the room and straight into Taeyang's arms for a good morning kiss, I decided I had a new favorite reason to get up in the morning time.

The happy aura soon faded as I realized during breakfast that I didn't know where to go. My days were spent by Reg's side working, where was I supposed to go now? With what felt like nothing to do, I soon found myself back by Daniel's bedside where I got good news.

"His hand moved this morning," Ben explains, a brightness of hope in his eyes, "A few times."

"I was reading up on some of the books here," Rosita says, holding said item up, "Usually that means the patient should be up within the next 48 hours."

Ben happily slaps at Taeyang's shoulder, "He'll be up soon, hyung!"

Taeyang smiles, pulling Ben into a side hug, "We should stick close to him so he doesn't wake up alone."

I lean over, resting my head on Daniel and I'd interlocked hands, nearly crying in relief.

You're okay.. Daniel was okay.

As though he was reading my mind, Daniel's hand squeezes mine just enough to confirm his status.

Rick and Morgan had left the walls earlier to bury Pete's body at Deanna's request of not 'burying killers inside the walls'. That was when they found the herd (which was putting it lightly).

We were by Daniel's bedside during his explanation that Glenn and Maggie soon filled us in on. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of walkers in a quarry.

The plan was laid out right after, effectively splitting most of the group.

Daryl, Jae, Abraham, and Sasha would be the ones to lead the herd. Glenn, Nicholas, and the returning member Heath would take out any distractions. And most of the others would stay along the side to make sure the herd didn't scatter off the trails.

With Daniel's injury, Maggie's pregnancy, and not many left to guard the walls- Taeyang, Ben, Beth, and I would stay here.

The preparation didn't take long and it gave me a couple days of hard work.

I was helping in creating the layout of the walls and cars used to guide the herd- Rick had told me that Reg's experience would go through me and put me to work on the spot.

Being outside the walls to help build said layout was the short amount of time I'd actually spent away from Daniel's bed. Then, the others began the test run and those of us not going stayed home.

But, then I found myself right back there again, even though I was technically working this time.

With my knees bent to my chest, the heels of my shoes on the edge of my chair, I scribbled down the layouts for the expansion Reg and I were previously working on. Most of the outlines were his writing so I was adding on and detailing where he'd left off.

"Maggie's trying to get Deanna to plant some crops outside," Taeyang says as he walks in, "She knows that you're not done with the layout plans but she thinks it'll at least help Deanna- give her something to do, anyway."

"That's good. Is Maggie feeling okay?" I ask absentmindedly.

"Of course.. Is there a reason she wouldn't be?" he asks, sliding in the chair beside me.

"Hmm?" I question, looking over to him, "I mean.. Just with Glenn doing the trial run and all."

He tilts his head, eyebrows crinkling like he knew I wasn't telling the whole truth. Before he could ask any further, the door opens again and an unfamiliar woman walks in.
