Returning from the run, we all got cleaned up, filled Doctor Carson in, checked on Daniel, and began the next plan. But, we had to eventually stop as we had other responsibilities. Sadly, that meant we would also be split up.

Ben stuck with Doctor Carson in the infirmary, helping wherever he could. Taeyang and Jae went with Kal and Eduardo to get the run down on how they guard the wall and what to do when there's walkers or people that visit- both uninvited and welcomed. Jessie went to help prepare the dinner bundles as the sun was beginning to go down by time we returned.

I had a much different job.

"We haven't had the pleasure of meeting with my injury sustained and all, my apologies," Gregory greets as he limps down the stairs.

Maggie warned us of Gregory, I was ready.

"Not a problem. It's good to see you're up and moving," I offer, standing up from where I sat on the stairs.

"Yes, it was a horrible injury. One might say I've healed quicker than most," he laughs.

I only give a tight lipped smile, a hum of a laugh.

"So, Margaret tells me that you have experience in construction.. Building and fortifying walls and such," he turns to the subject at hand.

"I do," I nod, "I-"

"Such a young woman? You can do those things?"

I purse my lips, "Yes. I can. I've done it before- a few times."

"Where did you learn exactly?" he questions.

Well, if you would've let me speak the first time you old-

"My father when I was younger, an architect, and.." I pause trying to figure out what to call Eugene, "A scientist in training."

"An architect.." he repeats under his breath before building back his act, "What was your father? His experience?"

"Stage design," I answer.

Gregory nods a few more times before he shakes his finger to me, "Well, Anna, I do believe you could be fit for the job."

"Thank you, George," I give a small bow.

"Ah, Gregory," he fixes.

"Oh, is it?" I feign, "My apologies, sir."

Compared to the large CT scan, the solar panels were easy to fix as I've already done it before in the past. After that, I did a walkthrough the walls with Kal to make sure there were no weak spots or threats of breeches and was happily surprised to see none. As the sun set and we were granted food for dinner, the gates opened up.

"They're back!" Eduardo calls as he and Jae open the gates.

Jessie and I set the boxes of food in the doorway, running to the vehicle.

"Andy!" the woman from the other cries.

There I realized that Andy was the man I'd held at bat-point just yesterday that had left to fight the Saviors.

"We're okay.. We're good," Andy pants, opening the back door, "Where's Doctor Carson?"

"Here! I'm here!" Carson calls as he and Ben run out of the med trailer.

"They got Craig pretty bad, he's gonna need some bandaging up," Andy says as he and Kal get the man out of the backseat.

"Where's Jesus?" Bertie asks.

"Things went south at the complex. Tara told us to go and Jesus went in to help fight," Andy explains.

"Went south how? Is everyone okay? Was Jesus okay?" another woman worries.
