Right after we left Hilltop, I fell asleep in the camper. Sleeping outside wasn't an issue, I was simply exhausted from not sleeping for nearly a week straight- I haven't slept much at all since Glenn's death after all.

Waking up groggily, I hide my face in the arm of the person I slept beside who rolls over to rest their arm around me. I hear a soft snicker that I could tell was Ben.

"Daniel.." I call.

"Hmm?" Daniel hums, patting my head before resting his arm on my side again.

"Just making sure," I yawn.

"I think this is the nicest I've ever seen you two act to each other," Taeyang laughs from the foot of the bed.

"I give it ten minutes until they're fighting again," Ben muses.

The road rumbles under us, the gravel crunching evident. As Ben and Taeyang continue to speak, I find my eyes refusing to open through the at ease state I felt.

"How much longer until a stop?" I question.

"Couple hours," Taeyang answers, reaching over to rub my thigh, "Go back to sleep."

I didn't have the energy to go against his wishes, instead curling more into my pillow and resting my arm on Daniel's side. It isn't long before I drift back to sleep once more.

We made a round inside a store, though there was nothing there. Nothing of practical use anyway- Tara found neon sunglasses and a bobblehead she was going to give to Denise, but it wasn't food, ammo, or medication.

It was nearly nighttime, so we made a fire to sit around and have dinner that was packed from Hilltop. It was so much like those days and nights on the road, I felt oddly safe despite not having walls. Instead, we had empty cans and tire rims strung around the trees- a trick Jae learned from Daniel.

I also felt safe, warm, and comfortable as Taeyang sat with his back against a tree using his bag as support while I curled up on his chest and played with our interlocked fingers.

"Baby?" Taeyang whispers and I hum in response, "You never told me.. Where are you from?"

"I've told you," I remind, confused.

"You said that your dad moved you to Seoul and that's where you stayed after- but not before then. Where were you born, I mean?" he clarifies.

"Oh.." I nod slowly, "Michigan. Mom's family had immigrated there after they did, so that's where we stayed. Dad was only on a visa so after they split, dad moved Angela and I to Seoul when I was three or so.. So, I don't remember anything from then. But, Angela and I got our citizenships there since we figured that's where we would stay. After the split, mom, Tina, and Glenn moved to Georgia for her work. Then, she and Tina ended up going back to Michigan."

I pick my head up enough to look at him, "Why?"

"I never knew.. I was curious," he shrugs, rubbing my back.

"Were you born and raised in Florida?" I wonder, "You've never said anything about living anywhere else."

"Mm.. Grandmother was the one that immigrated there. The family just decided to stay there- we only ever moved counties. Never left the state itself."

"Well, here you are," I offer.

"Here we are," Taeyang agrees.

We fall into our comfortable silence once more until Taeyang's chest shakes with a laugh. He tries to wipe it away only for it to return.
