20. healing

"James?" she asked the Gryffindor boy who had just barged into the girls bathroom. They boy was looking at the girls neck in horror. 

"Oh my merlin" he muttered. Selene felt embarrassed and exposed.

"Its fine, what's wrong? Where's Remus?" she wiped the tears from her face

"Being held back by Sirius and Peter"

"What?"

------------ 5 minutes earlier ------------

James, Remus and Peter were walking out of charms, with James holding Sirius' stuff, who had ever returned from the kitchens. 

"Think he's okay?" Peter asked. 

"He's probably..." James started

"There he is" Remus pointed out. Sirius was barreling down the hallway towards them. As he neared them they saw the look of distress on his face, 

"Here Moony, you're favorite, milk chocolate sea salt" he huffed in a hurry, extremely out of breath.

"Thanks? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, eat your chocolate" he commanded. Remus cautiously unwrapped the chocolate and took a bite, it really was his favorite, 

"James can I talk to you for a sec?" Sirius asked pointing away from where they were standing

"Sure mate is everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah everything is fine" Sirius was lying, Remus could see it on his face, and he knew when Sirius subtly shot Remus a side glance he hoped Remus didn't notice, but he noticed it

"It's Selene." Remus started, "Isn't it"

"No-" his expression confirmed Remus' suspicions

"Yes it is. what's wrong with her?" he asked. 

"Nothing's wrong, just eat your chocolate Moony, James?" Sirius was urgently pulling James away from Remus, "Pete don't let him listen or run away." Sirius demanded and Peter nodded. 

Once James and Sirius were out of earshot, James opened his mouth to speak but Sirius got there first, 

"Something happened with Selene, I need you to check the map, find her, just go make sure she's okay" he thrust the map into James' hands.

"What happened?"

"Theodore happened. But we cannot let Moony see her in a bad state or he will kill Theodore and mess everything up" James was scared. What could've happened to Selene?

"Now James please." he commanded. 

Remus watched James check the map and run away form them. Sirius walked back over to where Remus and Peter were standing. 

"Where is James going?" Remus asked 

"Moony-"

"What's wrong with Selene is it Theodore, is she okay?" 

"Moony"

"I need to go see her, Padfoot move" he continued. Sirius was standing between Remus and the direction James went. 

Unluckily for Remus, stage four had temporarily taken his speed and agility and there was no way Sirius was going to let Remus limp by. 

"Remus stop" Sirius commanded. 

"Tell me what happened" he yelled, he ignored the burning is his bones and muscles and tried to push past Sirius, who didn't move, 

"Pete help me" Peter moved next to Sirius and helped block Remus' path.
