Save Me

one hundred sixteen

I take it all out and spot something else at the bottom of the box. I pick it up and see that it is the necklace with the sun that I gave Olivia along with the note. I feel my heart break and I sit on the chair next to me and feel tears fall from my eyes.

It's over.

[Olivia's POV]

"So your dating the captain of the soccer team? Damn Olivia!" Jasmine says as she gets ready for the show. 

"What does he look like?" Carleigh asks, doing her hair. 

I pull out my phone and find a picture that I took of the two of us at the bowling alley. 

"Holy mother of beautiful. If I was in high school, I would love him too." Jasmine sighs. 

"I think love is a bit extreme, I mean we have been dating for only a week." I laugh. 

I chat with the girls as they get ready for the show and head down to the main floor for rehearsal. I spot Anthony in the back, he catches my eye and looks away with a hurt expression. Why should I care? He is the one who hurt me. 

I hang out with the cast while the show begins, they come and go and I talk to all of them. I haven't done this in forever. 

"You shouldn't be wasting your time on stupid high school boys." Andrew says. I show him the photo of Ben and then he says, "Oh hello.. On second thought." 

It feels good to be with my friends again, well not my friends, my family. I miss the summer when all I did was be with them all the time. I mean, don't get me wrong I love friends at school but I miss how close all of the cast was with me. Especially that time that we had that sleepover. Maybe we can do that again, soon. 

The show ends and I head up to my room to avoid the chaos that comes after a show. I play on my phone until I hear a knock at the door. 

"Come in!" I yell and see the door open to reveal Anthony. I look at him and say, "Get out." 

"Olivia, please I-" He begins. 

"Get out of my room. I don't want to see you, I don't want to talk to you, I don't need you anymore! And like you said, you can't be there for me anymore. So I found someone that can." I say to him coldly. 

His eyes are full of sadness and he nods but says, "Just tell me. Are you doing okay?" 

"Get out!" I yell and get up and close the door in his face. 

I collapse back onto my bed and the door swings open again, I turn around to yell at Anthony again but stop myself when it's just Lin. 

"What did he do to you?" Lin asks. 

"Who?" I ask. 

"Anthony! Look, I saw the text of him saying that he couldn't be there for you and now I heard you screaming at him to get out of your room." Lin explains. 

"Don't worry about it.. It's nothing. I'm taking care of it." I say. 

"Olivia! Tell me right now, I need to know these things. I'm your father!" He says loudly. 

"You're not my father!" I yell at him from my bed. "You can never replace my father!" 

I jump up from my bed and run downstairs. I hear Lin yelling behind me for me to stop. I wipe tears from my eyes and push open the doors. I run to my car and unlock it, getting inside and starting the vehicle. I drive away watching Lin stand outside watching me leave.
