While waiting for the cookies, we play a card game. The aroma wafts through the house, it smells like the days when my mother used to cook for the school bake sale. I smile at the memory.

[Olivia's POV]

"Hey, Olivia, Can you open the oven?" Anthony asked me. I opened the door to the oven, I smiled at my reflection of the oven.

As I placed the cookie pan on the counter top, I saw Anthony dancing while pouring milk into jugs.

Hmm, Milk and Cookies, reminded me off the good times with my Mom.

"Olivia, You ok?" He grabbed my arms, I guess I had zoned out for a bit thinking about my family.

"Ya!" I responded in honesty.

We sat down at the breakfast table eating cookies and drinking milk, Anthony looked up to me from his newspaper and fake glasses. His dark hair was surrounding his face in a curly mess.

"Can we go canoeing today, Anthony?" I ask him, He looked down at me.

"If you tip the canoe Olivia, I swear-" He laughed at me, that same dorky smile.

"You're the taller person, you would be the one to tip it." I laugh back at him, leaning back in my seat.

He laughed me off as he was going to get change in the other room so I could have my privacy.

After we were ready we went down to the dock, pulling the canoe along with us. We put it in the water and Anthony stepped inside it. He held out his hand and helped me inside. The canoe swayed slightly as I sat down on the opposite side of Anthony, we both grabbed an oar and began to move the boat across the still water.

"This is nice." He says to me after a minute of rowing. I nodded in agreement and picked up my oar and set it inside the canoe, Anthony did the same and the canoe gently bobbed in the water. It was silent, the only sounds were the cold wind, the birds and animals have all left for warmer weather.

"Has this weekend helped? You know.. With the whole Jazzy situation?" I asked timidly, not knowing whether it was too soon to bring it up or not.

He sighed before responding, "I wish I could say yes, but that would be a lie. I mean, this weekend has been amazing and perfect, I really needed the space from her and everyone in the cast.. But, that was my kid. I keep thinking about how that child could've had a life, grown up to follow in Jazzy and I's footsteps and be on broadway.. I don't know, it's stupid."

"It's not stupid." I say. He softly smiles, just a small curly at the sides of his mouth.

"It's freezing." I say shivering.

"Ya, maybe canoeing in November wasn't such a good idea." He laughs and flashes a dopey grin.

We begin to row back to shore and pull the canoe up the shed. Once back inside the house, we play a game of clue until the sun begins to set.

"Let's go watch the sunset!" I say, grabbing Anthony's hand and pulling him away from our half finished game.

We go outside on the back porch and sit on the railing, looking out across the lake that is lit up by the beautiful rich colors of the sunset.

[Anthony's POV]

"Wow.. Beautiful." She says, looking out into the sky.

"So beautiful." I whisper, looking at her face that is glowing from the intense colors resting in the horizon.

It would be so easy to just spill everything. 'Olivia.. I'm in love with you and I think you are the most beautiful girl in the world, even more beautiful than any old sunset.'

But I can't because she is 16 and I am 24. Gosh, if she was 18 there would be no problem. Lin would kill me if he found out that I was in love with his daughter. I can't help how I feel for her, she makes me a better person. She makes me think that life is actually worth living.

I notice her shaking slightly from the cold, I slip off my coat and wrap it around her leaving me in just a long sleeve shirt. Now I am cold but it's worth it.

She doesn't even feel the same, she can't feel the same. I am and always will just be a friend to her and the thought of the that makes my heart sink to the bottom of my stomach.

She leans into me, resting her head on my shoulder. I wrap my arm around her waist and hold her as the sun disappears. The sky begins to sparkle with millions of stars. Still, not as beautiful as her.

The night passes us by and soon I feel her body completely relax in my arms and I know that she fell asleep. I pick her up and take her to bed, covering her body with several blankets to fight against the cold that floats through the cabin.

"Goodnight, Olivia." I say and kiss her on the forehead before falling asleep.
