Dean Winchester (Thinking of You)

Dean was on the road again, driving in the Impala.
He was driving home from yet another hunt.
His knuckles tightened on the steering wheel as yet another sad love song played on the radio.
He recalled your last words to him when he left you.
"Well I know they say all good things must come to some kind of ending
We were so damn good I guess we never stood a chance
Go on & find what you been missing and when the highway's tired of listening
You'll see I'm not that easy to forget," you had sighed.
When he looked out the window to see the slight light of the moon, he continued to think about your last words to him.
"And when a new moon shines through your window
Or you hear a sad song on the radio
And you don't know why but you just start to cry
Or you're driving round on a sunny day and out of nowhere comes the pouring rain
Then a memory hits you right out of the blue
That's just me, thinking of you," you had told him.
He shook his head as he remembered what you had told him when he was packing his bags.
"I'm not goin' to try to stop you
Doesn't mean that I don't want to
If I know you you've already made up your mind
So go on & go if you're really leaving
Put a million miles between us
But you'll still feel me like I'm right there at your side."
Dean had truly loved you.
He didn't buy a home with you or get a job for nothing.
He wanted to settle down with you.
You knew that he was a hunter.
You understood when he left that it wasn't because he didn't love you anymore, like he lied.
He was just scared.
He didn't think he deserved a love like yours, or the happy ending he almost had with you.
As it began to rain, he cursed himself as your words began to replay in his mind yet again.
"And when a new moon shines through your window
Or you hear a sad song on the radio
And you don't know why but you just start to cry
Or you're driving round on a sunny day
And out of nowhere comes the pouring rain
Then a memory hits you right out of the blue
That's just me, thinking of you
And I'm thinkin' about the roads you're on
I'm thinkin' about you comin' home
I'm a wonderin' if you've got your radio on."
You had promised to wait forever and a day for him.
He had insisted you move on, but you refused.
You knew he would come back.
Even if it wasn't to be with you, but to use you for assistance.
Besides, how could you move on when you didn't feel half as much love for anyone else as you did for him.
Dean watched as he passed yet another "Welcome to Town" sign.
"And when you find your way to another town
And someone tries to lay you down
And a feeling hits you right out of the blue
Well its me, thinking of you," you had said as he finally closed the door behind him.
Your sad eyes, yet strong smile flooded his memory.
"It's just me, thinking of you," he repeated.
He turned the Impala around, speeding as fast as he could without burning out the engine.
He smiled as he thought about you, knowing you were thinking about him too.
He was coming home to you.
