You were hiding in the room of requirement.
You were trying to secretly practice your patronus.
You knew how to do the spell.
But it still didn't work.
Harry explained that it wouldn't be able to work without the most happy memory being thought of.
You were here, trying to find your happiest memory.
All the happy memories you thought of didn't work.
You were so captured in your thoughts, you didn't hear the footsteps behind you.
"Am i truly not happy?" you asked yourself aloud.
"Why aren't you happy?" you heard behind you.
You released a small shriek of fright before turning to see Draco Malfoy behind you.
You froze, scared.
"I'm not going to hurt you, Aris," he said.
"No, you'll do worse. You'll take me to that toad, Umbridge," you replied, composing yourself.
"It's not like she's going to hurt you," he scoffed.
"Oh really?" you responded, angrily, holding up your hand for him to see.
On it, the words "I must not keep secrets" were carved.
"She did that to you?" he asked, taking your hand and running his fingers over the scar.
You shivered and pulled your hand away.
"She has this magic quill. She makes you write a phrase repeatedly until it's completely carved into your hand," you explained.
Draco looked at you in shock.
"Yet you still break the rules?" he questioned.
"Have to find some way to fight back," you shrugged.
"What are you trying to do?" he asked.
"Cast a patronus," you admitted, "You need to think of your happiest memory for the spell to work. All my memories aren't happy enough."
Draco ripped off his badge Umbridge had placed upon him.
"Teach me?" he asked.
You raised an eyebrow.
"Okay," you nodded slowly, "Just think of your happiest memory. Keep it close to you. And say Expecto Patronum."
Draco paused.
"I haven't had my happiest memory yet," he muttered.
"So make it," you told him, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder.
Draco looked at your hand and put his on your waist, pulling you towards him.
He pushed his lips on yours gently.
When you both pulled away, you were both blushing.
"Happiest memory?" i asked.
"Not quite," he said, "Aris, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes," you smiled.
"Happiest memory," he nodded.
You both cast your patronus at the same time.
Your female owl and his male owl flew around each other before fading away.
You and Draco smiled at each other.
It was fate.
