Setting: Luke's Room. Room 343.
Ashton: (bouncing up and down on the bed) Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, dear Lukey! (settles down against Luke, shaking his shoulders to wake him up) Happy birthday to you! (shouting) Wake up, old man! You're twenty-one!
Luke: (groans, still half-asleep) Shut the fuck up. Don't remind me.
Ashton: Lukey! Wake up! We have to go celebrate! (moves to jump from the bed, Luke stops him by pulling him in close) Lucas!
Luke: (humming) Let me sleep. We don't work today. I just want to rest and cuddle.
Ashton: (teasing) You're a lot cuter when you're half awake.
Luke: (mumbling) Sleep, koala.
Ashton: I wanna bring you breakfast in bed. (pouting) I wanna spoil you. Is that so bad?
Luke: (frowns) And I missed your birthday. You can miss mine.
Ashton: You were in Australia. (pointedly) And you didn't know. So, that's not your fault.
Luke: (eyes open, staring straight at Ashton) Do you really want me to have a good birthday?
Ashton: (nods) Absolutely.
Luke: (smiles) Then just stay with me all day. (runs a hand down Ashton's cheek) I really just want to rest, koala. And I like having you here with me.
Ashton: (blushes) You sure?
Luke: I'm sure, Ashton. (starts to fall back asleep)
Ashton: (quiet for a moment) Can I still make you a cake?
Luke: (groans, rolls away, curls up to himself) Let me sleep.
Ashton: (annoying, pulls at Luke's shoulders) Lukey.
Luke: (under his breath) Jesus fucking Christ. (louder) Make it chocolate!
Ashton: (gleefully) Yay! (pauses, thinking, quickly pecks Luke on the cheek, hugs him from behind) Happy birthday, Lukey. (Luke smiles, falls back asleep)
