"India..." my father said as he sat across from me at the kitchen table.
"Yes." I replied
"Let's get high." He said
I smirked then looked to Chris and my mom, "What?"
"One day, lets get high." He replied
I knew he was high off of his ass now, because why would he suggest for us to do that.
"Dad, I can't."
"Why not?" He asked with the most confused expression on his face
Chris burst out laughing and my mother eyed my father.
"Dad, I'm pregnant, you know that."
His mouth partially opened, "You sure is..."
"I forgot" he shrugged then proceeded to eating
"And even if she wasn't, George, why would you be comfortable enough to smoke with your daughter?" My mom asked
"Because she's grown, you know- mind ya business, Rose." He said and brushed her clean off.
I laughed at the both of them as I played with the dinner on my plate. I wasn't really hungry, though I didn't eat all day.
"Chris, did you tell India about my friend? You know, what she did?" Anaya asked
I looked to Chris, then to Anaya, then back to Chris.
What'd this lil girl do and when? Because she's gone now so when did this happen?
Chris sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes at Anaya, "Naw I didn't tell her but thank you for bringing it up." He sarcastically said
"Well can someone tell me now that I'm present." I said
"This morning before she left while you was still sleep, I came out to pee and shit and she came out of the bathroom and.. you know, felt all up on my you know what." He said in a lower tone
I frowned, are my ears hearing correctly?
"Maybe it was an accident." My mom said
Chris made a face, "Aw no, it wasn't. Not the way she did it. She like literally gripped me with a full smile on her face."
"And what did you do?" I asked
"When she first did it I was caught off guard, and I too thought it was an accident but when I realized she was dead ass I pushed her back, I think I hurt her feelings by how hard I pushed her though." He said
"Fuck her feelings, she shouldn't be feelin' on a grown man." I said
"Excuse my language, ma." I said
"Yeah, it actually pissed me off because I'm like I'm not trying to catch any type of cases. She look about 16 or 17, either way she well under age." He explained
I was pissed. I knew I didn't overreact the other day.
"And, Anaya, how did you find out? What did you do?" I asked
"She told me she was gonna do it the next time she seen him, so I so happen to have my door opened and I seen it. We just laughed about it, it's no big deal." She shrugged
I looked to Chris and he looked utterly uncomfortable.
"No big deal? Anaya, I think I gotta slap some sense into you again- how is a minor touching a grown man's genitals not a big deal? Then your immature ass laughs at it with her opposed to putting her in her place." I said
"Chill, I said I can't control what she does." Anaya replied
"Damn that, she told you she was gonna do it so you could've told me, Chris or just convinced her not to do it. Though you and I falsely reconciled things, you still fake as fuck. You probably convinced her to do it, let's not forget you wanted Chris too." I said and rolled my eyes
"Okay, India, stop it." My mom said
I ignored her and got up from the table. I again don't wanna be made out as the bad guy or just doing too much because Anaya will definitely flip the script and do just that.
She's too fast for her own good and needs proper home training.
"What's wrong, mommy?" Royalty said, standing at my room door. I forgot she was down for a nap.
I smiled, I see she's calling me mommy again. I love it.
I opened my arms for a hug, "Nothing, baby."
"Girl or boy?" She asked while rubbing my belly
"I don't know, what would you want?" I asked
"A girl! I can play with her." She said
I smiled to myself, I imagined just that.
"Are you hungry?"
"Nope, I'm full." She said
"How when you just woke up?" I asked
"Grandma gave me something to eat when I woke up, then I came looking for you.." She said and looked at me with her bubbly brown eyes
"Aw you missed mommy?" I smiled
I begin tickling her and she laughed hysterically.
"I'm about to lay down, are you energized from your nap or you don't mind laying down with mommy?" I asked
"We can lay down." She said
I turned the channel to something more kid friendly and we laid back.
Right when I felt myself dozing off, Chris abruptly ran in.
"Room for 3?" He asked and plopped right next to Royalty
"Chris this is our bonding time." I said
"We can bond as three, what we watching?" He asked
I sighed, "Well Royalty is watching Spongebob but I was trying to get a nap in." I said
"You can still take a nap but don't forget we going bowling in another hour." He said
I sighed, "Oh yeah I forgot. I'm so sleepy though I just wanna sleep."
"You can sleep when you dead." He said and hit my butt then ran out the room.
What felt like only minutes later, I was awakened by Royalty's soft touch.
"Get up mommy, they're going to leave you." She said as she stood over me. She was dressed and everything.
I sighed and sat up, "Okay give me a second." I said
I went to the bathroom and gargled some mouth wash then went back into my room to throw some clothes on.
"I'm sorry, India. I was wrong for allowing my friend to do that and for not telling you." I heard Anaya say, I turned around and seen her standing in my doorway.
I sighed and rolled my eyes, "Okay"
"We about to head out in 10 minutes, you taking your car?" She asked
"No, Royalty and I are riding with mom and Chris is riding with my dad." I said
"Okay, I'll just ride with y'all then." She said
I didn't reply, I just finished getting ready. I felt her presence still behind me.
"I'm really sorry, sis. I don't want you to be mad at me." She said
"Anaya, it's fine." I said and mentally rolled my eyes, I just wish she'd disappear now.
"Alright, alright." She said and walked away
I finished putting my clothes on and grabbed my wallet and phone.
"You look nice." Chris said, standing at the bottom of the stairs. I smiled as I walked by him, but he pulled me back by my arm.
"Can we go upstairs for just a quick second?" He asked
"No, everyone is waiting on us. I got you when we get back." I lied
I might just jump right in the bed when we get back.
He smacked his lips and stomped his feet on his way out the door. He's such a baby but it's so cute.
Everyone got in their separate cars and we headed to the bowling alley.
When we got to the bowling alley and got our shoes, Chris walked up to me.
"Guess who just texted me." He said
"Sabrina?" I asked while rolling my eyes
"No, my mama.."
I rolled my eyes again, "Hm, what'd she say?"
He turned the phone to me, the text said, "Hey son... I wanna apologize about what happened , I wanna put it behind us bc I miss you and I wanna see Royalty. Hope all is good. Love you." And at the bottom was Chris's response, "No." is what he replied.
I laughed, "No, what?"
"No, we not putting shit behind us. She wanna be shady and do shit behind my back and she supposed to be my mama, so she can stay behind my back." He said
"It's okay, I understand. But if she really wanted to apologize, texting isn't how to do it." I said
"My point exactly."
We went to our bowling area and my dad went first.
It was Chris and my dad versus my mother, Anaya, Royalty and I.
My dad bowled a strike, but Chris's went right into the gutter.
"Chris, do you not know how to bowl?" I asked with a grin on my face
"I'm a lil rusty, get out my face." He said and playfully pushed me
As minutes passed, we were winning, obviously.
"Fuck this shit." My dad said and sat down
He's so agitated now that he's not high, he has weed for days so I don't know why he didn't smoke.
"Dad, what's wrong?" I teased
"Cause I didn't get high! Ya mama wanted me to finally come somewhere sober, so here I am." He said and rolled his eyes as he slouched in his seat.
"It's good that you didn't smoke. I like the sober you." I smiled
"George, lose your attitude or I'm going to throw all of your weed away." My mom said in a stern voice
He sat up straight and straightened his face, "Yes ma'am."
"Aye! Royalty!" I heard Chris yell
She was running down the bowling aisle with a bowling ball in her hand, Chris chased after her and damn near broke his ankles 3 times while trying to grab her. I'm surprised she didn't fall.
I laughed at the scene that played out in front of me, my entire family is hilarious. I looked over to see where Anaya had went, I spotted her in some guys face near the bathroom— figures.

I sat down in the seat while my mother took her turn. I wanna know what Lauren needs me to call her for so I dialed out immediately.
"Hello?" She answered
"Yeah, wassup?"
"Girl, let me tell you who popped up at our place today!" She said
"Who? Joyce?"
"No, Sabrina!" She replied
I rearranged my face, "Why? What'd she say?"
"I don't know, I don't even know how she found where we stayed but long story short, she was asking to see you.. you know me I grew defensive like what does she wanna see you for, I'm like if you coming to fight you gonna have to fight me because she's pregnant, and she's not here. Girl, why did I say that? She damn near died when I told her you were pregnant.." she paused
"So what did she say?"
"She was like she wanted to mend things between you two, since everything she has done to you. I was thinking like blah blah, bullshit."
What is there to mend as if something was broken between us? Like we had a bond once before.
"After I told her you weren't here for the hundredth time she stopped asking to see you. Then, before she left she turned around and said what she was really here for and she said she wanted to warn you to leave Chris alone because the shit that's coming his way, you won't wanna be apart of it." She said
I frowned, "What? What's coming his way? Didn't she already learn from the first time to leave us alone?" I said, growing highly frustrated
"That's crazy because I said just that to her, well I said she won't win at whatever she's planning, but she only smirked and kept walking."
"What ever it is, Sabrina and Joyce are probably planning it together, because ironically Joyce texted Chris today trying to mend things." I said
"Yeah, I don't know what they're planning but you need to tell him so he can sleep with both eyes open. You need to be careful too. What you doin?" She asked
"We're at the bowling alley, I'm so ready to go to sleep Lauren, I swear."
"Girl, you can sleep when y'all get home. I miss you though, are you coming home tomorrow?" She asked
"Yeah, we should be, but my mom was talking about us staying for a few more days so I'll see where that goes. I'll let you know." I said
"Okay, well FaceTime me later, I miss your face." She chuckled
"Okay, boo. And, please be careful in the house by yourself, I don't want Sabrina and her minions coming to jump you." I chuckled
She laughed along, "Girl please, I'm not worried about nobody. Plus, since you've been gone Dre has been over here or I've been over his place, I'm fine." She replied
"Alright, well goodnight best."
"Goodnight Indy." She said and made the kissy noise and we hung up.
I know for a fact Joyce and Sabrina are cooking up something, my intuition definitely says so. I just hope it isn't something we can't handle.
We might be able to though, but first I need to tell Chris.
