Aphmau's P.O.V
"Healing is on the way!"
I shouted as I played dungeons.
Two months has passed, I have not spoken with Aaron since. However I don't regret my decision. I'm actually quite proud of myself, if the competition is a wonder, the news would be great. There are the current results-

Aaron tailing 19 points.
But Gene still no news. I guess after his so-called-genius-plan failed, no other plans followed. Goodness I haven't even seen him in school for the last two months!
About Aaron, I cut off any connection between us. No school fighting or meeting up nothing. We acted as two different strangers from different worlds.
Katelyn and the others said that I acted a little off sometimes but they are just saying. To be honest I slightly, just a tiny bit still miss being... His game partner. I messed up in the game several times after he was gone, since I'm a healer I would sometimes use a group healing spell and waste mana.
"Oh..."
I stared at my computer screen as I remembered I don't still have a partner.
It was 11PM time to go to sleep, I closed the game and put on fairy tail the latest episode 52; while watching I drifted off to sleep knowing that winter holidays starts after 3 days.
Aaron's P.O.V
Two month has passed since Aphmau deleted my account. After that no talking, or even her usual horrible puns about me smirking, Nothing.
I wore my head phone as I was playing Dungeons, I saw Aphmau's character walk by and ignore it. In battles whenever I used shield, I remember that I have no partner, meaning I wasted mana.
I slightly think, I miss being able to play with her, we used to play since middle school. Lazzie and Dally were trying to talk to me and asked me frequently about Aphmau.
Michi, I even ignored more than ever.
No news came from Gene and his team, I'm kind of worried since even Ross has zero idea of his points but not like I care, if anybody should be worried about it it's Aphmau. I closed the computer, removed my headphone and jumped unto my bed.
Instead of instantly sleeping, I thought of something. The school festival is near, after winter vacation... Maybe I could do something to annoy Aphmau on it, who knows. I slept with a big smile on my face thinking
I have something in mind.
Laurence's P.O.V
Beep
Beep
Beep
I slammed the alarm and threw it off the window, got up and ready for school. Yesterday I heard that there would be a winter festival on the park so I'm planning on asking Aphmau to come since Garroth is too shy to ask. I am super hyped today.
"You seem quite hyperactive, is something going to happen?" Asked Hayden as we were on the table.
I basically couldn't hear his question cause I was too busy daydreaming on how would I ask Aphmau to the festival.
"Laurence?... Laurence?" Called Hayden.
"Laurence is in a special paradise now, let him be father." Said Cadenza as she walked down the stairs.
I heard her part of speech but ignored it, continuing daydreaming.
I finished eating my breakfast, grabbed my bag and raced down the blocks to catch up to Aph.
"Hey Aph!" I greeted.
She turned around throwing her fist in the air as for I dogged her punch by ducking.
"Um... Hello Laurence."
That's all?! Okay, I have to admit. I was asking Aph to the festival for two reasons.
First cause lately she's been distracted, she looked sad but still knowing Aphmau, she lies every time we tried to ask her about it.
Secondly cause I like her. What?! I can't help it if I like the girl, she is amazing, I know my second reason is selfish but I can't deny it.
"Hey Aph, what are your plans for the winter vacation?" I asked trying to extend our conversation.
"Nothing really, I'll try to make a white Christmas... heh, joking nothing really. And you?"
I was thinking of asking you to the winter festival
Is what I thought but my tongue had other plans.
"I said maybe me, you and Garroth could go to the winter festival coming in town."
What...the...Hell... DID I JUST SAID!? Garroth? Really? Tongue when was the time you worked for my favor Huh? Tell me!
"Sure!" She said as her eyes lit up.
That eased me a bit, just a bit.
"That would be fun!" She added.
"What would be fun?" Asked Garroth as he joined us with his two brothers.
I'm sorry brother- but I couldn't help but glare at you.
I glared at Garroth giving his an almost death glare but it wasn't his fault so I broke it off.
Soon Dante and Travis joined us and Travis surprisingly was trying to... flirt with Aph?
Oh what's happening to our Travis? I was talking with Dante when I realized Aph staring at the other side of the street, I followed her gaze and saw nothing.
Her expression turned from happy to little pain so I left Dante, speeding up slowly behind her I whispered
"You okay?"
She turned around with a confused look then nodded giving me a small smile.
Garroth's P.O.V
"That would be fun!" Exclaimed Aphmau.
"What would be fun?" I asked as I walked up to them.
Laurence gave me a very icy glare that almost sent a shiver down my spine, almost.
Aphmau told me that Laurence invited us to the winter festival... Us!?
Laurence must have slipped his tongue again. He wanted to go with Aph without me but his traitor tongue betrayed him.
Well I won't deny the offer. I, myself, was planning on asking her out but Laurence saved me the job. Thanks Laurence or rather Laurence's tongue?
Time skip to... (Nehty really doesn't think it's a time skip though) lunch
Aphmau's P.O.V
All classes four first classes went well, it was actually fun.
Today, a very interesting person showed up in class... Gene! After all these years buddy where have you been?
I walked up to him at the end of creative class, which was the fourth class. Which me as nothing can make me sad after this class.
"Hey Gene! How have you been?" I asked him FRIENDLY but all he did was shot me a glare then walked off class.
I mean what the hell was that suppose to mean?! I was trying to be nice for Irene's sake!
I went to the cafeterias and bought a food. I sat at our usual table but no one was there. Everyone was already preoccupied, Katelyn, Garroth, and Laurence were summoned by our seniors Esmund, Manfia, and Kul'zak. I found it kind of weird since they were all summoned at once with Irene and Shad.
Yes my gals, Shad who is always quite now actually lives!
Gene with his gang were all there at their table next to Aaron's but Aaron wasn't there nor was Michi, who would usually position herself at Aaron's table before him.
Not like I do care...
I stared at the cafeteria lady as she gave everyone their orders.
Boriiiiiiing!
I shifted my sight to my food, then I heard a voice complaining, no it was more like teasing voice that only belonged to one err- two people...
"Why does the food has to be so expensive? Nya~"
"Where does all that money goes to? Huh? To the belly or your pocket?"
Aaron and Michi. It didn't took me that long for them to catch my attention, I dropped my fork and looked at their direction.
Aaron had a smirk plastered on his face while Michi held his arm. They looked like one these anime series where the bad guy has a girl who is so interested in him and he... What?! No!
Why am I even thinking of them in that way? And why do I care about what kind of relationship they have?
My second mind had millions of insults about that smirk on his face. I straitened up and walked up to them.
"If you don't want to pay, just move!" I said to the both of them.
Michi gave me a 'hmph' then looked away but Aaron's smirk grew even wider as if he expected me or something.
We stood there silently for almost 2 minutes then he broke the silence by
"Make me."
"Umm Aaron, I don't think we should waste our time here." Michi said dragging or trying to drag him away.
He broke from her grip and in a flash was right in front of my face. He bent down to the level of my face and I suddenly felt nervous.
Me? Nervous? What!? Pfft...
I looked at his black midnight eyes as they were staring at me with that smirk on his face. He repeated his sentence again.
"Make me."
I gulped down a lump on my throat before saying the stupidest thing ever that came to my mind
"How so?" I asked confidently.
Really me? Is that all you can think of?
"School sports festival." he said as he moved away.
I let out a little sigh of relief, I wonder why? Anyways, I watched as Aaron walked over and gave the lady his money before coming back to me with his tray.
"Take your seat. I don't think you want this public." He said pointing to the people who started gathering.
I gave him a very long, silent glare for a minute then broke it off with a sigh, pointing to my table. As we walked over, I couldn't help but only notice him smiling not smirking. I never thought his lips was capable of smiling.
I sat down back to my table but they didn't sit, instead Aaron stood behind me while Michi made her way to their table.
"Aren't you going to sit?" I demanded.
He, again, bent down to my ears this time and whispered in a tone I never thought he had, cold and cool? But it was cold enough to freeze an ice berg to Absolute zero and that was my state, completely frozen.
"I'll stop if only you beat me in the sport festival."
And with that he went.
...
WHAT?!
Millions of thoughts ran through my mind at that moment but I can sort out some I guess.
What was that about? What is he planning? It isn't like Aaron to come so close to someone other than Michi? Really? That's what you're thinking about!? What was that tone? Why the sports festival?
These were the main thoughts, but really this was the first time I ever saw his face this close, somehow I can't neglect feeling like I've met him before...
So now that I've helped the cafeteria lady from Aaron's (stupid attempted) insults, I need to gain a proint (which is given if you defeat your opponent before the end of the year, equals to 10 points.)
I will have to defeat him at the school festival, easy.
I ate my food with more passion, not bored but a warm feeling was building up inside me.
I guess there was fun after all fighting with Aaron, I finished my lunch and finished my day of school. Katelyn said I look rather happy than usual which was true. I felt rather happy by the end of the day.
Meanwhile with Katelyn and the others at lunch...
Irene's P.O.V
"Do you really think Aphmau will..." I asked as my voice trailed off.
"It's okay. Aph is a really responsible and sweet girl she will be able to handle it." said Katelyn.
We called Katelyn, Garroth and Laurence in the Principal's room for something special.
Next on the list was Aph but I don't think I want to do this to her, just handing her a responsibility so big like that all of a sudden...
"It's okay Irene, if it's bad you can always retreat it." said Shad behind me reassuring that my decision won't be wrong.
"You've done it for so long, I think you need a break." Said Esmund.
I took a deep breath before saying of what I'm about to say.
"We would tell her tomorrow, but until then I hope you stay quiet about it guys."
Moving my gaze to Laurence and his friends.
They nodded.
No turning back now Irene, you've gotta do it.

Ooh, Nethy wonders what Irene has in store? Aphmau is opening up a little Aaron but what Aaron has in mind is a wonder too? What could he possibly be up to? (Too many wonders, I've watched a lot of justice league movies, Wonder Woman ;) )
