It was October the 2nd. I rolled over and opened one eye to look at Jesse
" enjoying the view" he smirked his eyes still closed
" maybe" I giggled " guess what day it is?"
He pulled me up onto his body so I was straddling him " I know exactly what day it is, its been a year today since you arrived"
He put one hand on my cheek and lowered my face to his, he kissed me softly. I pulled back " well done" I smiled " it been the best year of my life thanks to you"
" I'm flattered" Jesse smirked " seriously though, I think the same, since you arrived my life has been amazing, and I cant imagine life without you now" he kissed me softly again as I blushed at his comments.
" this time last year I was shitting myself as I was about to meet you for the first time" I laughed
" were you starstruck? " he laughed
" defo" I giggled " I had a massive crush on you for so long and then when we hugged.... oh my god the butterflies were insane!"
" well, we now do way more than hugging" he smirked moving my head down so he could kiss me again, more passionately this time. I grasped the bottom of my top and pulled it over my head before leaning back down to kiss Jesse, my hands stroking over his bare chest. Jesse rolled me over and began kissing my neck softly, I turned my head to give him more access to my neck, out the corner of my eye I suddenly noticed the clock.
" shit!, we're gonna be late!" I exclaimed sitting up suddenly pushing Jesse off me accidently. He fell backwards and slid off the end of the bed by accident. I crawled forward to see Jesse laughing on the floor. " sorry!" I exclaimed before bursting out in laughter myself. I got out of bed and helped him up before giving him a quick kiss on the lips and running into the bathroom to get ready.
After we got ready we biked quickly to bondi and got there in the nick of time. I opened the door and got launched on by maxi
" happy one year Australian arrival day!" Maxi exclaimed picking me up in a hug
" thanks babe, that sounds well rehearsed" I giggled as he put me down
" past 3 days I've been practising that" he winked. Hoppo came in behind me
" hello Jorja, doesn't time fly hey?" he smiled
" sure does, god the things that have happened since I started"
" you probably broke some sort of record with the amount of incidents, dangers and jokes that have happened to you" He laughed " I hate to be a bother but would you mind coming over to my office?"
" sure thing" I said nervously following him out the tower, I cast a quick look back to Jesse and Maxi as I walked out, they shrugged their shoulders as the door closed behind me. We went into his office and deano was sat there as well.
" don't worry your not in trouble" he reassured " I have to discuss a few things with you"
" right go ahead" I smiled
" you have been a lifeguard here for a year now. You were a fully trained lifeguard back in the UK but here we classed you as trainee but you haven't done TAFE as you did all that training back in the UK. So we just let you do the stuff that trainees do, and me and deano have been in discussion about what we want to do with you as we presume you want to stay on here at bondi?" Hoppo said
" yeah of course I want to stay here" I smiled
" well in that case we want to offer you a position as a fully fledged lifeguard rather than the trainee position. It would mean you could administer the green whistle and stuff like that but apart from that it will be pretty similar to what you have been doing for the past year. And to be honest you can rival some of the experienced lifeguards with the sort of stuff you have done this year" Hoppo smiled
" so what do you say?, do you want to be a fully fledged lifeguard?" Deano asked
I sat there in shock " of course I do!" I gasped " oh my god that will be amazing thank you so much!" I stood up and hugged them over the desk " this is amazing!"
" you just need some more first aid training with regard to the green whistle but apart from that your all good!, now go and tell the others!" Hoppo laughed
" thank you so much guys!" I exclaimed before running over to the tower. I burst through the doors " they offered me a position as a proper lifeguard! , not a trainee!" I gasped to the boys
" That's amazing!" Jesse exclaimed picking me up and twirling me around before planting a kiss on my lips. Maxi came and joined in the hug
" aw my girls all grown up!" he laughed
The rest of the day passed quickly with a few rescues, summer was just around the corner so the rescue tally was rising each day. It still hadn't sunk in that I was going to be a proper lifeguard! the whole day was spent in a daze!
" do you want to go and see a film tonight then go for a meal?" Jesse asked as we walked up to the apartment " there's some good films out"
" okay defo" I smiled opening the door " what time do you want to go?" I asked placing the keys down
" right after we finish what we started this morning!" Jesse exclaimed as I felt a pair of arms slide underneath me, he picked me up bridal style and carried to the bedroom before we carried on what we had finished this morning.
* After*
We were on our way to the cinema, I was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, a FTW white vest and to glam up the look, a pair of black heels that Zara sent me. We walked inside the cinema and the first thing I noticed was the amount of women that were in the cinema foyer. looked up at the screens showing what was available.
" ohhhhhhh" I suddenly realised why there was so many women here
" what?" Jesse asked
" fancying sitting in a room full of horny women?"
" huh?" Jesse said looking pretty confused now!
"50 shades of grey?" I said sarcastically pointing up at the screen. The film had just been released and there was a lot of hype about it
" I'd rather not " Jesse said shuddering
" We'll get it on DVD then" I winked at jesse
" how about that?" Jesse said pointing to a screen that showed the advert, it looked like a action film, action films were one of my favourite types. And then someone came on screen to seal the deal for me
" we have to see that" I said determinedly
" oh ok then, it does look really good" Jesse said as we walked forward to get the tickets and popcorn.
He hadn't realised that channing tatum was one of the main actors in it.
After we bought our popcorn we made our way through the crowds of women towards the cinema room showing our film. All of a sudden I heard a shriek
" OH MY GOD JESSE POLOCK!"
I turned around to see Jesse suddenly surrounded by a crowd of 10 ladies wearing hen party sashes. They had obviously come on the hen do to see 50 shades.
" we absolutely love you Jesse!" one of the women said
" we were just saying the other day that you should have played Christian gray, weren't we girls!" the whole group laughed as I just looked on, Jesse looked terrified!
" Thank you, but I really have to go.. my girlfriends just over there" he stuttered nervously. All the women turned to face me leaving Jesse just enough time to escape " have a good time ladies" Jesse said, placing his hand around my waist we turned and walked away " run!" Jesse whispered jokingly in my ear. We got into the cinema to see that nobody was in there at all. We had the whole cinema to ourselves.
" well VIP seats it is!" I laughed walking up to the posh leather seats in the middle of the cinema " bet the 50 shades screen isn't like this!"
* After*
The film was amazing, channing tatum had helped though. It was a proper hardcore action film and it was brilliant!. We walked out and saw that the room showing 50 shades had finished as well. The doors opened and swarms of ladies walked out. All of them wide eyed and with flushed faces. Lovely.
We walked out the cinema and down the street of restaurants next to it.
" so where do you want to eat babe?" Jesse asked
I looked down the street before a certain restaurant caught my eye " NANDOS!"
