"morning beautiful, we need to get up" , I felt a pair of lips against my cheek and Jesse's breath tickle my skin. I smiled and pretended to be asleep still, " come on, I know your awake!" he said I could feel him smirk against my skin. " right that's it!" I felt Jesse roll on top of me and he began to tickle me
" stop stop I'm awake!" I laughed hysterically, he stopped and placed his hands either side of my head before leaning down and placing a kiss on my lips. I wrapped my arms round his body and sat up close to him " what time do we need to head off?"
" about half a hour, I didn't want to wake you babe, you look so beautiful when asleep" Jesse said
" so I'm ugly when awake" I joked
" course not, your even more beautiful when awake!" Jesse said kissing me again. He rolled off me and I got up and quickly had a shower. I got dressed and we drove down to bondi
" I think I might be watching back the clips I've been in today, they were saying something about it the other day" I said as we drove down " I don't know if there going to show mike though?"
" did your board have the camera on it?" Jesse asked
" yeah, I don't know if there allowed to show the actual attack?"
" no the cops took that film after they took the statement whippet said they got the film out the board. they did film me bringing you back onto shore though" Jesse explained
" oh right ok" I mumbled as we turned into the car park. I leant over and gave Jesse a kiss before we climbed out the car and walked over to the tower. I saw that john was outside speaking to another camera man, he turned to face me and Jesse as we walked over
" hey guys, Jorja are you ready to do all your interviews and points of view today?" john said
" yep sure, is it just under the tower again?" I said
" yep sure just head under when your ready" john said walking down onto the sand. we walked into the tower and signed in before I walked under the tower, all the cameras were set up pointing towards a chair.
" hey guys" I said
" right Jorja we're going to show you the clips that you feature mainly in and you didn't speak about at the time of the incident, now the first thing we filmed with you was with the man who was taking pictures of the ladies topless, we obviously wont show that first as that wont set you up to well for the rest of the season!" john laughed " we will put that in about episode 3 and we didn't film you at the time so we just need your point of view, so you will watch the clip and then we will film you speaking ok?"
" yep that's fine" i said. John lead me over to a little tv screen and showed me the clip back again, it was really weird to hear and see myself. I watched the clip and mentally got ideas together, i told john if there was any parts I wanted taken out as there was one bit when they zoomed a little to close to me when I was topless " right I'm ready" I said sitting down in the chair
" it was a busy day at bondi and a lady called becca had come to the tower telling us about a man taking pictures of ladies topless. we identified him and watched him for a while but we had no evidence of him doing it and we couldn't just walk up and grab him camera so I had to set myself up as bait. we got the evidence needed and brought him up to the tower where we found he had much more than just pictures of topless ladies on it, there were some disturbing ones of children on there so we handed him over to the cops and they took the pervert away"
john gave me a thumbs up from behind the camera " great job Jorja!, we will edit it so it comes in little chunks, but yeah great job, now the next one is when you were at tama for training"
we spent the next hour going on events that would be shown, we went over my training at tama, my prank on Kerrbox, the time that me, Jesse, maxi, whippet and bacon had made harries burst out laughing during a interview and he threw me in the water, Christmas day, new years day and the rescue I did on the 3 year old then John touched on a difficult topic.
" now, that time you were attacked in water, do you mind us showing that?, we don't have the actual footage of the attack as the film was removed but we have footage from when they were reviving you, its just it would show people that it is dangerous for lifeguards as well"
you mean it would get views I thought " um, fine whatever" I said taking a seat, I didn't need to watch the film I still remember it like it was yesterday " it was a busy day and me and gonzo were watching backpackers, I went in to retrieve somebody and it turned out it was someone who I had a bad history with and it just goes to show lifeguards are in danger as well in the ocean" I took a deep breath before continuing " he attacked me basically and I drowned. Jesse, gonzo and mouse came and grabbed the man and got me from below the water. I had drowned and was lying on the sand below when Jesse grabbed me and took me to shore I think. they managed to expel the water from my mouth and throat. I was then taken to the tower and a ambulance took me to hospital where I had a x ray and luckily I had no water in my lungs" I felt tears prick my eyes and I put my face in my hands to try and compose myself. John soon signalled that they'd stopped filming and I took my face out my hands
" well done Jorja, I know that must have been hard, now um, the next one we need to touch on is the suicide, are you ok to talk about that?"
I rubbed my eyes to dry them, "Its better to get it all done quickly then I can forget them" I mumbled. They showed me the clips of what they had filmed, they had filmed me crying on the rocks with Jesse, bacon and maxi all comforting me, I knew that would cause problems with the female fans but I couldn't be bothered to argue with John about removing it. I sat down and had to relive the whole trauma again and go into detail on why I was upset by the death.
After another hour we had finished and I left quickly. I walked up to the tower where dunno and corey where, I could feel tears begin to prick my eyes " hey guys can I just grab something from the lockers?" I mumbled wanting to get out of the tower before I burst into tears. Some of the other boys including Jesse were down at the rips " yeah go on, are you ok?" dunno asked
" fine, just need to grab something" i forced a weak smile before walking out the tower and jogging over the road. I ran into the changing rooms and shut the door, I sat down at one of the benches and placed my head in my hands before letting the tears flow, taking about everything had only made it worse.
" Jorja?, are you ok?" I spun around to see mouse standing there, he came walking over and opened his arms, I stood up and he wrapped his arms around me pulling me close to his body, he wrapped his arms around my neck and I leant forward and sobbed
" it is hard to relive the experiences, but you just need to push them back and forget, its all over and it wont happen again" mouse mumbled into my hair " come on, lets get you back to Jesse". he let me go and pushed me back slightly so he could look at my face, he grabbed a tissue for me to dry my eyes,
" th thanks mouse" I mumbled drying my eyes
" don't mention it, your one of my best mates!" he said putting his arm over my shoulder as we walked out and back to the tower. Jesse came out to meet us
" Jorja!, are you alright?" he said pulling me into a hug
" yeah its just we went over the attack and suicide and it just came rushing back to me that's all" I mumbled into his shoulder, he leaned down and gave me a quick kiss on the lips as there was no cameras around
" come on babe, its all in the past now" he soothed as we walked back into the tower, we had to separate as cameras were there. I needed to go down to one of the rips with dunno so I left pretty quickly with him and headed up north end.
" are you alright now?" dunno asked
" yeah thanks dunno, its hard to talk about the attack and suicide and they wanted me to go into detail that's all" I said over the rhinos engine
we got down to north end and did about 2 rescues before packing up and heading back up to the tower, the camera men and John had all left and the shutters were down, I walked over to Jesse and gave him a quick kiss on the lips before we left.
that was it now, I didn't need to talk about those experiences again.
NO chapter tomorrow! I'm going out with my friend and then she's coming over to stay so I wont have time!
