It has been a full year since we moved into our house. I'm now 16 and a half, a Junior in highschool. My friend Samantha had moved to a new school but we still get in contact. Me and Jill are still friends.
My father married Allison so now she is my stepmother. I'm glad she is because I can tell secrets to a gikr that I can trust. Not like I could with my aunt.
Oh yeah, my aunt recently died three months ago. She had lung cancer. I mean yeah I cryed but she didn't mean much, she was my fathers sister. Of course I had to go to the funeral. And I also had to make a shprt speech being she was there in my life for so many years. And i had to be nice about it.
The past year we changed a lot of things. We built a chicken coop and got chickens. We got two horses. One of them is mine which her name is Jordan. The other one is Nicks. Chance is such a great horse.
Nick actually is on kanes now. He can kinda walk without them but he's getting better. I'm glad God helped. If Nick wasn't here I wouldn't know what the fuck to do with my life.
Jay and I are still together of course. There has been a few girls who really want him but they know he's taken.
"Jay, do you want to see a movie?" I asked him as I was getting my lunch in the refrigerator.
"Yeah. It can't be a scary movie." He said.
"Yeah I remember the last time that happened." I said.
"How about a romantic movie?"
"Well, how about an adventure movie?" I asked.
"How about a adventurous romantic movie." He said wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Do they even have them kind of movies?" I asked confused.
"Not if I make one." He said.
"Haha, let's go for a walk into the woods. I have something to show you." I said.
"Something? I usually show you things."
"Well not today. Come one!" I yelled.
I put my hiking boots on. We walked out the door to the woods.
"Do you know how we found that cemetery?" I asked him.
"Um yeah. The Ross family."
"Well I found somewhere romantic where we could make out." I said.
"Make out? You said none of that business till we graduate."
"Not like take our clothes off. Just make out!" I said.
"Alright then. Why didn't you want to do this in the house? There's bugs out here!" He said.
"Really Jay? Your such a baby! Come on and we will have tons of fun. Don't worry to much on the little things." I ran ahead.
"Come on babe!! Wait up!!" He yelled as I got farther out.
"Not if you can catch up!!" I yelled back.
"Why are we going off path?" He asked.
I hid behind a huge tree so he wouldn't find me.
"Ashley?? Where are you??" He yelled.
"BOOOO!!!" I scared him.
"AHHHH!!" He yelled.
"Haha, got you!" I said.
"That's not funny get over here." He grabbed me and pinned me against the tree. He looked into my eyes without saying a single word.
"What?? Aren't you going to do it?" I asked.
"Do what?" He asked me.
"Is that sarcasm?" I asked.
"Hell yeah!!" He started kissing me.
It went on for about ten minutes.
"Alright stop! Need a break." I said huffing.
"Are you OK?" He asked.
"Your gonna make my heart race to fast and i will pass out.. But I'm fine. I don't give a shit if it does at the moment." I sat down on the ground next to the tree.
He layed down right next to me.
"You know that could have went longer?" He said.
"I know I was messing around when I said stop!" I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because I still don't feel like it's right." I said.
"Baby, if it wasn't right then why do it?" He asked.
"Because I love you and I don't want you disappointed. Do you want to keep doing it?" I asked.
"You won make me disappointed, but if you want to come on."
"Alright hang on."
"Hang on to what." He got on top of my legs.
"I don't know."
He came closer and put his hand under my cheek.
"Your all that I need and want. Let's not wait to long to have this moment." He said.
"What do you mean?" I said as he kissed me.
"If we wait to long those memories won't be there. Let do it now so we can hold onto them." He said kissing me more.
We made out for almost an hour. We finished as we heard a noise.
"What was that?" I said put of breath.
"I don't know. And I promised the next time I wouldn't leave you." Jay said scared.
"Why are you scared?" I asked.
"Because I don't want you hurt." He said.
The snaps grew larger near and nearer. I kept my eyes closed and held tight to Jay.
"We are gonna have to run!" Jay whispered into my ear.
"Who goes there!!!" The voice sounded very deep and angry.
"Don't move!" Jay whispered lower.
We sat there silent as the snaps kept coming.
"I have a knife." I whispered silently.
"Well then. Let me see it." He whispered. He took the knife ams stood up.
"No Jay!" I whispered louder.
"It is I Jay Matthews!" He said to the Man.
"Why you!! Why do you come here?" The man wasn't in sight.
"This is our property and you are trespassing!!!" Jay yelled.
"This is my land you moron!! Now show your self!" He got angrier.
I stood up and stood next to jay.
"Let's go Jay. If he wants us let him take us." I said.
"Never. What do you want?" Jay asked the man.
"You and whoever else is with you!!!" He yelled.
We got into the man's view. It was scary to look at him. He had a jacket that was black and long.
"What do you want?" Jay asked again.
"Why do you come?" The man yelled. All the birds flew away.
"Are you Jesus??" I asked.
"How do you know??" He asked loudly.
"Your the one that killed the Ross family. Ypubshoudl be ashamed of yourself!!" I yelled.
"I don't care who you are!! But you do not rule these woods. And you shouldn't be in them." He started coming closer.
"Run!" Jay whispered.
We both started to run as fas as we could.
"Get back here!!!" The man started to chase us.
We ran back onto the path. I didn't notice the tree root in the ground and I tripped over it.
"Ah! Jay!!!" I yelled.
The man hurtled fast. I was scared as shit. I couldn't keep myself together.
"Come on get up!!!" Jay said getting me up.
"I can't my foot!!" I said.
My leg was hurt I couldn't feel a thing. Jay picked me up over his shoulder and he started to run. He spotted the house and he kept going.
"Its OK almost there." Jay said.
"Jay he's getting closer!" I said.
Jay ran as fas as he could. The man got closer and closer. Soon he was able to grab my hair.
"Get over here!" He touched my hair. Jay made it out of the woods and ran towards the porch.
The man kept coming but he slowed down and Jay ran.
Jay got into the house. He set me down on the floor and locked the doors and the windows. The man tried everything he could do to get in.
I called help as soon as Jay locked everything.
"Come on we have to hide." Jay picked me up and we got into our closet of our room.
"I called help. They are on there way. Ouch!!" I said.
"OK, is your leg OK?" He asked.
"No I think its sprained or broke again." I said.
"Shhh, he got in." Jay told me to be quiet.
You can hear banging from below. He yelled a lot but couldn't tell what he was saying. Jay huddled me closely as we heard footsteps coming upstairs.
"I know your in here you bastards!!" He yelled. He then opened our bedroom door.
Jay held my mouth shut. I wanted to scream but I kept it in.
We heard him go threw every door of the room. Jay covered us up with a blanket just in case he came in.
The man opened the closet door. We stayed still and quiet. We were pretty good at doing it since we are in marching band.
The man then left the room.
"Son of a bitch!!!! Fuck you guitar!!" He yelled. We heard him pick up the guitar and ghit it against the wall.
Then we heard sirens.
"Shit!! Just take me. Its been to fucking long to keep from hiding anymore." The man said crying.
I left the closet limping really bad I fell down.
"Whose there?" The man got up.
"Why did you kill them?" I asked.
"I was jealous. And I ran and built a fucking cabin and I've been hiding to long!!" He said angrily and crying.
"Its ok to cry. I know how hard it is. But how are you still alive?" I asked.
"They had the date all wrong. It was 1952. And it probably looks like an 8 now being its been forever." The cops came in.
They handcuffed him and took him away. The ambulance then came in and took me to the hospital.

"Looks as if you sprained your foot. Not your leg. You'll be on crutches for about three to four days. So now you can go home." The doctor said.
"Ashley!! What happened?" My stepmother asked me.
"Some guy found us alone in the woods and he chased us and broke in. I fell and sprained my foot. But I can go home." I said.
"What have I told you. I've said never to go out off the path." She said.
"Wait how did you know we got off the path?" I asked.
"Common sense. Jay here told me everything." She said.
"Oh." I was ashamed for what I did.

Im grounded for a week from all my electronic communication and devices. Which I don't really care for. It gives me time to practice my piano.
The music store gave me a new guitar being that asshole destroyed my other one.
I really wish I didn't go off the path. I've never felt so ashamed like this.
"Hey Ashley that movie still?" Jay came in.
"Am I allowed?" I asked.
"Don't really know. You should go and ask!" Jay gave me great advice.
"Well your gonna have to help me. I'm not capable of going up and down these damn stairs." I said.
"OK then." Jay helped.
We got downstairs.
"Hey mother! Can I go to the movies with jay?" I asked.
"Hunny are you sure?" She asked me.
"Please!!" I said.
"Fine but Angel will have to come." She said.
"OK coolio!!" I said.
We left for the movies so we went to go watch the new Avengers movie.
