It already has been two weeks. Im sick and tired of sitting all day. But I told myself to suck it up. There's so much on my little tiny mind and everything I think of is so huge.
I get flashbacks in my dreams about my mother and these storms that have torn me apart. I don't understand why God is so angry at the world.
Well anyways. Today I'm starting school. They have rebuilt the school to a point where we can go. There's a lot more work to be done but today is my first day of school.
Tyler also disappeared once again we don't know where he is. We have looked everywhere for him.
"So you ready for your first day of school?" Angel asked me as I brushed my teeth.
"Not really." I said with no confidence.
"Come on your friends will be there. Samantha's mother called me today and asked to meet them at Waffle House for breakfast." Angel told me.
"Is that why were up so early?" I asked.
"Yes. And Jill will be there as well." She told me.
"Cool!!" I said happily.
Sometimes I really wish I didn't go out to that car. I wouldnt be in this stupid wheelchair if it wasn't for my stupidity.
"Alrighty, are you ready?" Allison came in.
"Yep. Angel are you ready to wheel me to every class?" I asked Angel.
"Actually Jay is gonna push you around. He assisted to do it for me." She said.
"Oh, well at least you don't have to relearn!" I said.
"Yep! Haha" she laughed.
We went out the door to the handicapped vehicle that Nick uses to go to places he need to go to. He hasn't been really anywhere so yeah.
"Alright you are latched. Jay get in?" Allison said.
Jay got on and we were on our way to school.
"So are you ready?" Jay asked.
"Yeah, first stop we have to make is the nurses office!" I said.
"I know, I got a list of what places you have to go." He replied
"Alright that's good." I said back.
He smiled and looked out the window. Which was odd of him to do.
"Is something wrong?" I asked.
"Not really, I just had a really bad dream last night and its making me think a lot." He said.
"About what?" I asked.
"It was a dream about you, you wouldn't be able too walk and you also cheated on me. Also you got hurt again. That's why I assisted to push you around. We are in the same classes." He explained.
"You know I'm to shy to talk to another boy! And I won't get hurt." I said.
"That's a definite lie right there. You get hurt all the time even if I'm with you." He said laughing.
"That's true." I said laughing back.
"You too have strange conversations." Angel said.
All of us started to laugh. We pulled up to Waffle House and Jill was outside waiting.
"I thought you wouldn't come?" Samantha's mother told Allison.
Jay got me out.
"Wow, was it that storm a couple weeks ago?" Samantha asked.
"Yeah, I had a stupid moment and then I got hurt. Let's go in." I said.
As soon as we went in Allison went to go park the van. Samantha was already inside. We just went over to the table.
"I thought you were getting better not worse!" Samantha said.
"Well things happen for a reason." I said.
"Yeah but not this. But oh well." She said.
Jay parked the wheelchair and he sat down next to me. A waiter came to the table as Allison sat down.
"Good morning! What do you guys want to drink?"
Samantha, June, Jay, Angel and I all got milk while the others got coffee.
"Why didn't you get coffee?" I asked Angel.
"Because I'm being a little kid." She gave me an evil smile.
"Well then, so how's everyone" I asked.
"Pretty good." Jill said.
"Um, cleaning up debris at home. There's not a lot but will." June said.
"Well, I'm fine. As you see I'm in a wheelchair now." I said.
"Yeah we can tell." Angel said sarcastically.
Everyone began to laugh.
"I wasn't asking for smartbutt!" I said laughing.
The waiter came back with the drinks.
"Alright, what would you like to eat?" She asked us.
Jay and I got one together because I don't eat much in the morning. Allison got French toast. The others got eggs and waffles.
"How romantic that you too are sharing a plate." Angel said.
"Hush, I don't eat breakfast all the time." I said.
"I know. I'm picking on you!" She said.
I gave her a glare.
"Are you sisters?" Jill asked me.
"Not yet, but we are in our hearts." I said.
"Wow, well I have a older brother and sister but they live in Maine." She said.
"Wow thats far away!" I said.
"Yeah." She said.
"So who here is in band first hour?" I asked.
"All of you kids!" Angel said.
"Really Jay? What do you play?" I asked him.
"Oh yeah, I never told you that I play trombone!" He said.
"Wow, what about you Samantha and Jill?" I asked them.
"I play trombone as well." Samantha said.
"I play trumpet!" Jill said.
"Wow we all got brass players." I said.
We all laughed.
The waiter came with the food. She handed everyone's breakfast.
"Does anyone pray before they eat?" Jill asked.
"Yes we all should pray. I'll start." I said.
We all held hands to pray.
"Thank you lord for putting food on our plates and gathering us around this very table..." I started.
"And for keeping us safe from all these storms that have passed threw our very state...." Samantha said.
"And for letting us be alive, thanks for letting me have the friends who have the courage to protect me and worship my religion.." Jill said.
"And for letting me have strong beliefs that my baby sister is out there somewhere. Please bring them back to me. Amen." Jay finished.
"Amen!" We all said.
"Let's eat!" Jill's mother said.
We all digged into our meals.
"Kids that prayer was great. I never knew how much you believed." Allison said.
"Thanks!" We all said at the same time.
We finished. I took my wallet out and took out five dollars. I put it on the table.
"Alright, let's get these kids to school." Jill's mother said.
"Most definitely." Samantha's mother said.
We left the table and off we went towards to school.
