I sit down and try to play games with him and Hudson sits beside me.

"I don't want to overstep, but I can help if you need it,"

"Sure," I nod

I give Mateo to him and Maté stops screaming at least.

"Let me grab something from his bag," I sigh

I go in his bag and Cheryl has a shirt in there that always makes him fall asleep.

"Here let me take him," I say picking him up "thank you,"

"No problem,"

He finally calms down and I sit down again

"Why Hudson no come?" He asks

"Well Hudson isn't my boyfriend anymore. So we don't hangout,"

"Oh.." he shrugs "sowwy?"

"It's okay buddy, I love you,"

"I wove you,"

Half an hour later we stop at the rest stop and I get to go on the other bus.

"Thank you for not leaving me at the airport," I say to their coach

"Never Topaz,"

"And sorry boys about Mateo, he's usually better,"

"Don't worry about it Lexi, it wasn't a big deal," Jhorry says

I lock eyes with Hudson and he smirks and nods

I blush and put my hair behind my ear and go to the other bus.

I really don't want to talk to the boys right now so I give Mateo to my mom and sit in the front rows where no one is.

"Lex you coming back?" AJ asks

"No im just going to listen to music,"

"Oh okay,"

I turn my music on and look out the window.

I want him back so bad

He's such a great person and still helps me and fuck

"Lexi you wanna talk?" TJ asks sitting next to me

I shake my head and give him a small smile

"You're crying,"

"I'm stupid TJ, that's all,"

"Why?"

"To think someone like Hudson would actually love someone like me," I sigh "he's so good and I'm.. not,"

"You can't believe that's true,"

"It is, and it's fine,"

"No it isn't. Hudson still loves you Lex- you should see the way he looks at you in the halls," he says "you're the most confident person I know,"

"Not anymore,"

He hugs me and sighs

"I'm sorry Lex,"

"I'll be fine Tony,"

He goes back and we make it to the hotel a few minutes later.

"Alexis you're alone until the cheerleaders come,"

I nod, grab my key, and walk upstairs.

I just sit on my bed and look at the ocean.

"Yo Topaz!" Trey says from outside

"Go away! Leave me alone!" I yell back

"Topazzz," he says "I'm not leaving,"

"Go see Hawaii Trey,"

He's quiet for a few minutes until I hear my door open.

"Dude get out!" I yell

"It's not like your changing and it's not like I haven't seen it before," he says coming in with Jhorry

"Leave me alone," I say looking out the window again "I'm fine,"

"You spent the whole bus ride crying and we're going to the beach,"

"If you stand between those flag poles I can see you," I sigh "I don't want to,"

"And if we go without you, your mom will kill us,"

"Tell her I'm sick,"

"C'mon Lex,"

"Fine, let me get changed,"

They leave and I put a bikini on and my USA football stuff on top of it.

"Happy now?"

"Very, let's go," Trey says

We go down the the lobby and walk down the street to the beach

"Topaz you made it!" One of the basketball guys says

"Unfortunately," I sigh sitting down

"You're really not going swimming?" Jhorry asks

"I'm here, screw off,"

"Fair enough,"

They all go in and I sit and watch.

I don't want to swim anyways.

"Alexis Topaz?" A reporter asks

"Yeah?"

"Is it true you broke up with Hudson Raeleigh?"

"Does it matter?"

"Well, people wanna know,"

I grab my stuff and get up.

"I'm 17 so back the fuck off my personal life,"

I start walking towards the hotel and Jhorry runs over

"Where are you going?"

"To sleep? I don't want anymore reporters talking to me!"

"Come in the water Lex,"

"No,"

"Just stay here? I know you want the cheerleaders here to do shopping, but we'll go with you later okay?"

I nod and sit down.

That's not him stereotyping me by the way. I want to go shopping.

I sit back in the sand and a few minutes later Hudson gets out of the ocean, grabs his towel and walks towards the hotel.

"I have to go see my parents now, so you can go in," he says

"I'm not out here cause you were in there," I say blandly "I'm not feeling well,"

"Fell better,"

"Yeah thanks,"

Things just get more awkward and more tense between us.

After another half hour another reporter tries to talk to me so I go shin deep in the water so they won't follow me.

I just want to be left alone. I'm always sad and I'm always tired and no one gets it.

"Lex?" LJ asks

"Hey Louis,"

"Why aren't you playing?"

"I'm not feeling well," I say with a small smile "plus I'm looking at the fish now,"

He nods and goes away and after a while we get back to the lobby.

"So we're shopping now right?" I ask Trey and Jhorry

"Oh I wasn't serious,"

"Oh I think you were. Let's go," I say "TJ, AJ, LJ- you're coming too,"
