I shot the puck. I closed my eyes because I was nervous, I didn't know if I made it in or not. The ice rink fell silent. I heard nothing. Then, I heard people start to cheer one at a time. I opened my eyes. I made it!

I scored!

I couldn't believe it, I was in so much shock.

I felt people come around me and start to cheer. We won! We are going to the third championship game! Everyone was started to skate around the ice rink to the fans.

Charlie came up to me and gave me a hug. "Great job, Courtney!" I hugged him back. We let go and I felt someone come up behind me. I looked behind me and saw Adam. I gave him a hug. He hugged back.

"Great job." Adam said. We let go and I took off my helmet. Adam did too.

"Thanks." I try to say, but I was laughing so hard because I was really happy. But then, Adam did something. He did something I never thought he would do. He leaned in and kissed me. I kissed back. We leaned back. I couldn't help but smile.

"Courtney!" I heard someone yell. I looked back and saw James.

"Hey James." I looked at Adam. "Excuse me." I skated over to James.

"Congrats on your win." James said.

"Thanks." I said. James smiled.

"Wanna go out tonight? Or are you going out with Adam?" James asked.

"Nah. I'm free tonight." James smiled even more.

"Great. I'll call you." James said.

"Okay." Charlie and Adam came to me.

"Come on, Courtney. Let's go." Adam said, giving James a dirty look.

"Aye, mate. What's your problem?" James asked Adam.

"I don't have a problem. You have the problem mate." Adam snapped mockingly.

"Adam!" I screamed.

"Aw, so you're gonna do that with me, huh?" James as like he was very irritated.

"Come on guys. Don't fight." I whined.

"Stay out of this, Courtney!" Both James and Adam snapped. I stared at them.

"Come on, Courtney, let's leave them alone." Charlie said. He put his around my waist and we started to skate off.
