Sky and Jason sat beside each other, hand-in-hand.
I pull myself together
The astronaut boy pressed a kiss to Sky's cheek.
Just another step till I reach the door
Sky lied in the hospital bed, eyes tired and smile faded.

"I'm glad you came to visit, Jase." (Jace, whaeva)

He smiled and nodded sadly, "Yeah."
To take it all away
Sky squeezed Jason's hand lightly.
Sometimes I wish I could save you
"I love you, Sky." Jason whispered, lump growing in the back of his throat.
And there're so many things that I want you to know
"I love you too, Jase."
I won't give up till it's over
"What did the doctor say?"
If it takes you forever I want you to know
Sky smiled. "He said that I'm making a fairly good recovery."
When I hear your voice
Jason nodded. "That's good."
Its drowning in a whisper
Sky nodded back. "Yeah..."
It's just skin and bones
"You're hair is starting to grow back." Jason noted, patting Sky's almost hairless head.
There's nothing left to take
Sky blushed slightly and nodded, readjusting his budder-colored bandanna that had fallen off.
And no matter what I do I can't make you feel better
"Yeah..." He mumbled shyly.
If only I could find the answer
"Hey..." Jason leaned gently against Sky's bony frame, "You're beautiful, Sky. Just because you..." He trailed off.

Sky laughed a little. "Just because I have cancer, doesn't change that?" He finished for the other.

"Yeah." Jason let out a small, nervous laugh.

Sky giggled. "You can say it, Jason. It's fine."

Jason sighed. "I... I know that you think it is, Sky... But," He sighed, "I don't know..."

Sky laughed a little and pressed a kiss to Jason's temple.
That if you fall, stumble down
"I know, Jase. You don't have to say it if you don't want."
I'll pick you up off the ground
Jason nodded with a small smile playing at his lips.
If you lose faith in you
"But if you don't say it," Sky paused, "You're a baby."
I'll give you strength to pull through
Jason cracked up. "God damn it Sky, you always ruin the moment."
Tell me you won't give up cause I'll be waiting if you fall
Sky smiled. "I know."
Oh you know I'll be there for you
Jason laughed slightly and gave Sky a passionate kiss.

"The doctor says that if I keep going at the rate I am, I'll get to come home in a couple months." Sky said happily a couple minutes later.
