"Now, now, Kouen, you don't scare me." You lifted my finer and poked his nose, smirking, before walking off.

-

"I'm so stupid!!" You cried, Judar groaned at your presence as you pulled at your hair.
"He's going to hate me even more now!"
"Well obviously! Your so fucking annoying!"
"Shut up Judar I didn't ask for your opinion!"
"You came to me to complain dammit!"
You pouted, turning back to the gardens you were kneeling in. Your dress was no doubt dirty now, but as if you cared, Kouen was never going to speak to you again.
Truth be told, you ended up falling in love for the crazy King, he was tall and buff and undeniably handsome. Sure he was a mad man that would literally destroy everything to get what he wanted, and he had a really high temper, but the few moments you've shared together really meant the world to you.
He saved you, and brought you to the Kou empire. He bandaged your wounds when you got hurt from 'playing' with Judar in training with your Djinn equips.
You remember the one time he smiled at you...
"Jeez your so pathetic." Judar began, cutting off your thoughts.
"Ugh, your not helping, Judar! Last time you told me to show confidence and he would find me intriguing, but he probably thinks I'm annoying like you do!"'
There was a pause, and you looked back to see Judar contemplating, "If you really did what you said you did, then yeah probably."
You groaned, falling down completely on the grass and telling Judar to leave you their to wilt and become one with all of the plants.
You could feel him roll his eyes.
"For a dungeon capturer or two Djinn's, you're a real baby." Judar scoffed.
"Y/N."
You gasped, freezing in place,
"What are you doing on the ground?" He asked.
You quickly snapped out of it and sat up, locking eyes with Kouen himself, who looked quiet unimpressed.
"She's been crying over you for the past ten minutes." Judar complained and you shot him a glare.
"Really?"
You blushed, looking down at the ground to try and hide your embarrassed look.
You stiffened as Kouen knelt down in front of you, sighing he lifted your head with his fingers gently on your chin.
"Wha-what are you-" You stuttered.
"I don't hate you, I never have. Nor do I think you're that annoying." He assured, his eyes seemed empty as he looked into yours, "I'm quiet fond of you, actually."
"O-oh." You coughed out.
"Hakuryuu told me everything, though."
"E-eh?!"
"I told you you shouldn't have told him." Judar sighed, "He crumbles under pressure."
"So you know that I..?" You hesitated, searching En's eyes.
"I do. And frankly, after thinking about it for a week, I quite feel the same."
Judar choked and started coughing and your eyes softened, a small gasp leaving your throat.
"You really mean that? Kouen-kun?"
"I do." He smiled.
You licked your lips, quickly pushing yourself forward and attaching your lips to his, throwing your arms around his neck. You'd waited too long for this moment, staring at his lips from afar as he worked when you accompanied him in his office.
He kissed back, holding your shoulder tight, his other hand on the side of your face, "I also knew that you've been staring at me while you pretend to read." He gasped, pulling away.
You huffed, "Seriously?"
He only smirked in reply, swiftly picking you up and carrying you away from the area.
"I think you could use a bath." He mumbled to you, "You can use my tub."
You didn't reply, lost for words, you tightened your grip around him and just complied silently.
This was way better than complaining to Judar.

The bath was really relaxing, Kouen's was much bigger than yours.
He had left to gather some new robes for you, telling you to relax.
He arrived a few minutes later, placing the robes on a stool and then sitting down in front of the tub, pulling out a scroll.
"What's that?" You asked, not being able to read it.
"It's ancient, a different language."
"You're always engulfing yourself in different types of knowledge. You don't ever get bored of the stories, do you?"
"I never will." He replied, "There's all the more reason to love the stories, when you are a person that makes them so real."
"What do you mean?" You asked, looking longingly into his eyes.
"I mean, as a child I would read fairy tales, but I'd never believe them, until I met you."
You chuckled, "Never took you as a womanizer."
He scoffed, "I'm only stating a fact."
