Okay this is going to be like a modern times thing - like maybe we can all think of it as before Kaneki's ghoul side was awakened or something because in this particular one shot there will not be a lot of mention of ghouls...
So!
I apologize greatly and beg for your forgiveness because someone requested this like months ago....-
He dabbed his eyes with the Kleenex as you stared from the other side of the coffee shop with a disappointed and disgusted look.
He has mucus coming out of his eyes. That's how sick the black haired boy was. Like for Petes sake stay home you idiot!
You sighed as he blew his nose once again, refraining from groaning loudly as you held onto your coffee cup that was still steaming. You looked out the window, but couldn't help glance back as the sound of his snot being blown out of his nose echoed through the now empty shop.
Everyone but you had left because of the sick one... Maybe you were an idiot too. Honestly though even a ghoul would walk away from this guy this is just gross.
"Oh... I used the last one..."
You stiffened, remembering how you had a pack of kleenexes yourself in your purse. This is really not a good day for you.
Why did you have to be so kind?
You slowly reached into your purse, feeling bad as the boy sniffled and looked around helplessly for some kleenexes. He had stolen the box from the store today, the same thing he had done yesterday and it seemed he's used up all of the stores Kleenex stock.
Is this guy never not sick? Maybe you only recognized him now because he is sick?
You sighed heavily, watching the boy reach for a paper towel.
"Don't use those." You broke the ice swiftly, holding out the kleenex pack the boy whipped around with a fearful look as he sniffed again, "They'll irritate your nose more. Use these, they're soft." I nudged the pack forward, and he slowly took it from me.
"Thank you." He said, his nose was clogged so bad, he needed serious help.
"It's no problem, I'm Y/N L/N."
"Kaneki Ken." He gave me a small smile before turning and blowing his nose once again."Kaneki. Still sick I see."
He laughed lightly, "Yeah... It doesn't seem to want to go away."
I sighed, "I made some soup last night, it's my mothers recipe. Would you like to come for dinner? It might help your cold."
"Really?! Wow thank you!"
How could I be so nice and so harsh on the outside?
I hate this guy, this... Snot rag, yet I let him into my house?! I sighed as he sniffled over his soup, eating away like he hasn't eaten in days.He was blowing his nose less now, had ceased stealing boxes and you both sat closer together at the coffee shop, exchanging small conversations related to work and school.
The more frequently you saw him, the more you began referring to him as Kaneki and not snot rag. When you really looked at him he was kind of cute. He loved to read and his smile was the gentlest thing.
"There's a book signing down the street later today, would you like to come with me Y/N?"
You blushed slightly. How did giving a simple pack of Kleenexes lead to this?
"Of course."
He smiled again and you couldn't help but smile back.
"Great! It starts at three p.m. So want to leave around two thirty? It's two now."
"Sounds good to me Kaneki-kun." You suppose even something as simple as a Kleenex pack could be a match maker.Extended Ending
You walked into the coffee shop, dragging your feet past the front table you swiftly stole the kleenex box and sat down at your usual spot.
Grumbling you slowly took a soft white tissue from the box, taking it in your hands and holding it up to your nose.
Blowing out the building up snot you knew it would come back within five minutes.
"Oh Y/N-chan! Got a stuffed nose huh?"
"This is so your fault, snot rag."
The male laughed, scratching the back of his head, "Don't worry, I bought a bunch of Kleenex packs for us!"
