Rei Ryugazaki X Blind! Reader

It's short so I'm sorry but I think it's cute, so it don't matter.

It wasn't hard to maneuver around the school being blind. Being born this way gave you a slight advantage of heightening your other senses. Your smell and your hearing guides you around the hallways.
You know, with the exception of your stick. You spoke and a partner that was with you would write or do the activity in science. The one thing you couldn't figure out, was the male that was always blabbering on about beauty.
You had no idea who he was, nor why he was obsessed with things beautiful,
so you just figured he must be gay for the other cheerful one who always messed with him while he was sleeping.
But it's rude to assume things...
"Y/N L/N... Who shall I partner you with today?"
You waited for the teacher to say a name and match a sound to it. You couldn't see and you couldn't really imagine things in your head, so you matched names and people with sounds.
"Rei Ryugazaki?"
"Yes sir!"
You smiled slightly. You had never been partnered with Rei before. You remembered being partnered with the cheerful one, who you knew as Nagisa Hazuki but never this one.
Was he the one that blabbered about beauty?
"Hello L/N-San!" You moved your head up slightly,
"You can call me Y/N, Rei."
"Oh, alright. Well, let's get started then."
Rei was very smart, and luckily mumbled while he wrote so you could listen to everything he said.
"Why aren't you writing Y/N?"
You froze. He didn't realize you were? But everyone...
What an idiot!
"I... Um..." You began. You had never had to tell anyone you were blind yourself before. Usually someone did it for you or everyone just figured it out, like respectful people.
"I don't need to... It's all in my head?"
"Oh, interesting. You have a photographic memory I presume?"
Yeah, totally.
"There! All done! Beautiful!" Well that matches up the name with the sound then.
You sighed a long breath of relief as the bell wrung. Standing up you carefully made your way through the maze of desks and out the door towards the bench were you ate lunch.
The bench was never used and was the easiest place to get to, being blind and all. When you sat down, thinking you finally had some peace to eat, someone called out your name.
"Y/N!"
Oh not this idiot. You never mistake a sound to a name, and you knew exactly who the one running for you was.
Rei.
"Y/N! Jeez you walk fast! I was wondering if you'd answer some questions I have about the paper we had today!"
"Oh, okay-"
"Great!" You felt him sit beside you and you stiffened. Something here could go terribly wrong.
"So right here where it says-" You listened to his every word, taking it all in and trying your best to give an answer. You could feel yourself begin to sweat with nervousness as you heard him fumble around with papers.
Why couldn't I just eat in peace? You asked yourself.
"So Y/N this is an essay I have for English class. I know this is asking a lot of you but could you please read it over for mistakes?"
You slowly rose your hand, and the paper was put delicately in your hands.
You tightened your fingers around it to hold it in place, and took a breath.
You had to tell him.
"Listen Rei... The thing is,"
"Huh? What's wrong Y/N? Is it that bad?"
"Wha- no! It's not you, um... I'm, well I can't read. I mean! I can read but not real words- er-ugh that sounds bad."
"Do you have Dyslexia, Y/N? Well that's nothing to be ashamed of-"
"No that's not it." You sighed, "I'm blind Rei."
It was silent, and you weren't sure what that meant. There hasn't really ever been a moment in your entire life when there wasn't any sound. There was some shuffling and the paper was taken out of you fingers gently.
Is he leaving? You thought, something in you welled up and you almost felt like crying, but suddenly the shuffling of paper stopped and no footsteps followed.
"Your still beautiful, Y/N."
