-Niall's POV-

Today was the day, the day that the love of my life meets my mum. I was still sore from all the jumping around at the concert I did last night, but my mind was elsewhere from my aches and pains.

I remember when I had brought Brianna to meet my family, it went completely down the drain. She wasn't intetested in anything but my fame, but I was to blinded to see it then. Although now...

My head glanced at the passenger seat beside me, seeing my beautiful girl. Her eyes were glued to her phone, her typing away feverishly. It made me curious.

"Who you talking to honey?" My hand reached over, grasping her thigh in my hold.

"Indie," she looked up at me and smiled, "I'm asking if she wants to come on tour." That's right, Louis asked if she could invite Indie. Well... more like begged.

I have a feeling that he has a soft spot for Indie, but I could be wrong.

"She's just asked if I was put up to this." The light laughter that emitted from her created my own to as well. "I'm just gonna say that I was."

"Cheeky girl." The sound of William in the back had my eyes avert to the revision mirror. My little man threw his doll around in his hand as his eyes stared out the window. "William," I caught his attention, "you excited to see grandma?"

He perked up at the name, clapping his hands and giggling.

"Gran! Gran!" I laughed at my son, focusing back on the road. That was until Christine spoke up.

"Do you think your mum will like it?" Physically blinking back, I glanced over to now see Christine was nervous. She looked fine before when I told her days ago. Or maybe she was putting on a brave face for me.

"Baby, she will love you." She hummed unconvinced, looking out the window, her phone laying limp in her lap. "Christine, I mean it. My mother is an easy person to get along with. And I know for a fact that she'll love you." My soothing words didn't do much, that I could tell. But when her hand subconsciously raised to her stomach, I knew her mind was elsewhere.

She had a lot going on for her. Her family moving away, Harry and Lou ignoring her. And now that she just found out she was pregnant, I honestly don't know how long it'll be before she bursts into tears again.

Maybe mum can help me figure this out. She knows about children and being a woman under stress. If there's anybody I can trust you help, it's her.

"I love you baby girl." She softly relied.

"I love you too Niall."

Ok, this was it. Back in Mullingar and outside my old house. I haven't been here for quite awhile. Honestly, I missed it sometimes. But I know that I'm a grown man now and I have to move on with my life. Sure, my childhood home will always be important to me, but I think finding a life with my own family now is a priority.

My fists raised, knocking on the front door. Christine held William to her chest as my arm wrapped back around her waist.

Her eyes lifted to mine, nerves swirling around in them. "They're going to love you." I whispered, earning a small nod before the door opened.

The first thing we were greeted by was a wide smile from my mum.

"Niall!" She opened her arms wide and I couldn't help but wall into them. My mum was very important to me, and to have her in my arms once again brought joy. "I've missed you!"

"I've missed you too Mam." My accent changing my pronunciation. When zip pulled away, mum cupped my face and looked over it, examining it with cheek squeezing and tug. "Mam, stop." I whined playfully as she turned her gaze, eyes beaming.

"And you must be Christine." I followed mum's gaze to have my eyes land upon a blushing Christine. Mum stepped around me and brought her into a crushing hug, being mindful of William as she did so. "I have only heard good things about you."

"And you as well." Christine replied, obviously becoming relaxed.

"My name is Maura, Niall's mum."

"I'm Christine. Niall's uh, girlfriend." She blushed deeper at the title, only warming a grin from me as I watched the two.

"And look! It's little William too!" She gushed, gently poking William's cheeks as he giggled.

"Gran!" He held arms out, waiting to be taken into her arms. And she took him, peppering kisses on her cheek and telling him how handsome he was.

I came back to Christine's side, wrapping my arm around her waist once again. I had to claim what was mine didn't I?

"We'll come in, come in!" Maura gestured us inside.

"Is Greg home?" I asked, asking for my brother.

"Not at the moment." I sighed. I was hoping Christine could meet them all at once. "He's out on vacation with Denise and Theo." Was he now? Must have been using all those coupons I gave him last Christmas. The thought had me chuckle. "But your father is home. Bobby!"

Christine looked around my old home as we ventured further into my house. It's been awhile and nothing seemed out of place since I had left.

"Yes my dear?"

"Niall is here."

"He made it did he?" We were met with the jolly smile of my father. He hasn't changed much, except for maybe a longer beard. "Niall!" Pulling Christine forward, I let go of her and embraced my father. "How have you been my boy?"

"I've been great dad. You know, touring and what not."

When I'm older and William grows up, this will be him and I. He may have found the love of his life by that time too, and he may be beginning to piece his life together.

"And is this the lucky girl I've heard about?" Dad wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"Dad, stop it!" He always found a way to embarrass me somehow. "Dad, this is Christine. My girlfriend." I smiled as Dad came over and hugged her as well. She seemed surprised by all the hugs, but accepted then no else.

"We are so happy Niall found somebody that treats him right." He indescretely mentioned back to the time where he met Brianna. It didn't go anything like this.

"I'm glad to have met a man that treats me right too." Looking over, I couldn't help but smile at my girlfriend. I just felt so proud of her, even if there was no legitimate reason why.

I cleared my throat. "Mum, dad," I came back to Christine, pulling her into my side protectively, "we have something to announce." Christine tensed as my hand came down and took ahold of her stomach.

And with a deep breath, I said it.

"Christine is pregnant."
