A white sheet pulled us together, pulling our bodies together like puzzle pieces. My leg was sprawled across your torso, your arm under my neck, your hand on my thigh. Your soft finger tips made soft circles on my forearm, causing my hairs to stand straight. The darkness pooled in from every direction, but I could sense your eyes still wandered over our pale bodies, covered by the white sheet. The white sheet held you close. Your thumb's steady rhythm on my forearm halted and your breathing slowed. Deep sighs escaped your lips and I found myself following your lead; our chests rising and falling as one. Your body quaked as your dreams took you on unforgiving adventures. My body clung to yours through all of your small episodes. The white sheet held me close.
