"People never change," mum muttered into my crumpled hair, placing a soft kiss on my scalp. My eyes were red and puffy but she didn't seem to mind. The clock ticked quitely in the background announcing our every second. I angrily smashed the photo frame to the ground that once sat perched upon my desk. "He told me he had changed!" I wasn't upset, I was raging. I didn't know how to express my true feelings but anger sure seemed to help. He lied, he lied, he lied; I continuously repeated in my head as my mother sat back quietly watching me as I tore apart every photo of us; ruining my lovely collage upon my wall in the process.
