Hiccups
My breath became rugged as I searched for well-needed air. 'Damn hiccups', I muttered under my breath. My body shook violently as I tried reducing the urge to gag; this is why I had a fear of hiccups. The loud sound came from the pit of my stomach and echoed around the room; gaining strange, slightly amused looks from the people who milled around the shopping mall. I held a milkshake in one hand, gripping it for dear life, wishing for it to stay firmly in my grip. Another painful hiccup came from nowhere.
