Her eyes scanned the screen hurridly as sadness began creeping in on her. Shivers ran down her spine as the thought of someone caring brought an unfamilliar warmth to her heart. She wanted to smile, she wanted to cry; she wanted to scream at the top of her lungs but her body seemed to be failing her. The words she read began to haunt her, but she couldn't bring herself to tear her eyes away. The smell of the blazing fire and the ash began to take a toll on her. Her lungs began to fail her. The healthy lungs of this teen had never been so unhealthy as they inhaled the thick smoke that surrounded her. She pressed the keyboard's buttons as quick as she could. Her broken family was now resembled by this broken house. The room collapsed behind her, and the floor in front of her. She didn't dare move though, she wanted to say goodbye to those who mattered most; those who she had never actually seen.
