chapter 2

AMANDA'S P.O.V

It's six years now ever since we left Dad in Englannd and now we are back in Los Angeles and I'm 15. We live in a small house and don't have much to eat since mom doesn't have a stable job, she does part time jobs. Kate is a bit better but she doesn't go to school because she is still sick and we don't have enough money either. Only Danny and I go to school. Mom won't let me get an after school job but I know that we need more money so I'll get one but I won't let her know.

"Amanda get in the house it's getting cold" mam said

I got up and went in the house, we ate dinner and the went sleep.

I woke up, got ready and headed out for school, since it was nearby Danny and I walked to school. Later on it was lunch time and me, Becky and Jessica sat down at an empty table near this group of guys. As we were eating I noticed that Jessica kept on looking at the group of guys.

JESSICA'S P.O.V

I kept on looking at group of guys sitting in front of us. I wasn't just looking at all of them, I was just looking at the one with black and sort of curly hair, he had brownish eyes too. He was dropdead gorgeous. But though I'm all focused on him the other guy who I guess is named Joe keeps on looking at me.

"Sis, snap out of it, just go and talk to them than sit here mumbling about how cut they are" Becky and Amanda said

"Oh shut up girls, don't you know that the guy has to come and talk to the girl first and anyway...........OMG Amanda, the cutest one seems unable to take his eyes off you." I said smirking at Amanda

"Oh please, there's no way he can be looking at me and even if he is I don't care" She said

"What ever I have to go to class bye" I said getting up and not noticing someone was walking in my direction and before I knew it I bumped into someone.

" Ouch" I said

"Sorry, I'm really sorry" he said putting his head up after picking his books.

" It's alright" I said

"Oh you're Jessica right ?" he said

"Yes I am but how do you know" I answered

"Well I can read and the tag on your notebook says Jessica." He answered

I giggled and said "well I have to go to class so bye."

"Bye then." he said

AMANDA'S P.O.V

I got up and went to biology class. Today we were going to be given a 1 week assignment which we had to submit at the end of this week and it had to be done by pairs.

"Ok class today you all know what we're doing but I have decided that it will be a boy and girl pair. So I've written the names of all the boys in this class on seperate papers and each and every girl will pick one and the name written on it will be your pattner." said Mr . Adams our biology teacher

I really didn't like this idea but Mr . Adams was very strict and nothing could change his mind. Finally it was my turn to pick a name so I did and written on it was NICK JONAS.

"So, what does your paper say Amanda?" Mr. Adams asked

"Ummmm......Nick Jonas." I said

"Oh, that's me" a rather cute boy said behind me

"Ok then from now on you all have to sit with your pattner in class since all your projects will be with the same person till the end of the year." Mr. Adams informed us before leaving the class.

"So, you are ?" Nick asked me

" I'm Amanda" I said

"Ok then nice to meet you, anyway are we going to be doing the project in my house or yours ? " he asked

Oh my god I can't possibly bring him to my house. I have to find some other place.

"Well we can start off at your house if it's fine with you." I said

" That's alright then so before you go home this afternoon come to my house so we can talk about our project. " he said

"Ok then, bye" I said and left

*Later that day* ( Amanda's P.O.V )

We were in Nick's car and we were on our way to his house and it was pretty quite in the car.

"Are you always so quite?" Nick asked

"Well what do want me to say?" I said

"At least say something like something that makes me know you better." He said

"Well then, I am 15 years old and I was born in New York but then we kinda moved to L.A. and I like music a lot and I have two siblings and bla bla bla...." I said and before I knew it we turned left and entered a parking lot.

"We are here." Nick said while getting out. We went in the house and it was really big and beautiful.

"Welcome Nick and who's the friend you've brought along with you." Nick's mom said

"Hi mom. This is Amanda and she's my partner in the biology assignment so I've brought her here to start our project." Nick said

"Hi Amanda welcome." She said Thank you Mrs. Jonas." I answered

"Hey Nick and hi Amanda. I'm Joe, Nick's older brother. "

"Hi Joe, nice to meet you." I said

We had lunch and soon Dennise and I were taking off the plates. I was on my way to the kitchen when I heard Dennise speaking to Danielle.

"She's a very nice girl." Dennise said

"Who?" Danielle asked

"Amanda ofcorse."Dennise said

"Well yeah, she is very nice and down to earth." Danielle Said

"Yeah. I hope Nick recognizes that and forgets Casandra." Dennise said

Who was Casandra and why should Nick forget her. And what does Dennise mean 'I hope Nick recognizes that'.

I got in the kitchen and suddenly they stopped talking. Later on Nickand I were in his room working in our project.

"Nick, I guess we can stop here. I better go home before it's late." I said

"Ok then. I'll drop you off." He said

We got in the car and Nick drove me to my house. Soon we were there. "

"Thanks for the ride." I said

"You are welcome. See you at school." Nick said

"Bye." I said and left

Mom was worried when I got in but I explained everything and she calmed down. I was tired so I went in my room well our room sine Kate, Danny and I shared the same room.

"So, this guy is he cute?" Kate asked

"Sis he's just a partner and nothing else." I said and then soon I fell asleep.
