She didn't move away from the window as her hand began to hurt more and more.

She wanted to smash it against the wall.

So hard that it left a dent.

She could only hold herself back with difficulty.

With a great deal of effort.

Not giving in to fear and anger.

Where did it come from in the first place?

Never mind. She clenched her hand into a fist and let it go again.

Then she clenched her fist again.

And let it go again.

It helped a little and released the tension in her arm.

But it still wasn't her tension.

Not quite her own.

She could feel it.

The foreign emotions from lightyears away.

And so familiar.

She took a deep breath and forced her breath to calm.

Perhaps.

Maybe this distant person would become calmer when she herself did.

She breathed in.

Opened her fist again.

And breathed out.

She lowered her arm.

And breathed in.

And let the calmness strike through her body.

And breathed out.

And with the exhalation, she let the last remnants of stress escape.

A world that had neither shape nor color stretched out before her closed eyes.

And as she looked into the plains of this strange power, calm as a rock in the surf, she felt the alien signature calm down.

"Calm down," she breathed.

"It's all right. I'm here."

Her voice, barely audible, sank into the realms of the force and let herself drift.

Wandered light years, parsecs through the galaxy.

And far away.

Far far away, they met the one they were meant for.

The young Jedi lowered the fist with which he had just struck the wall.

"Ahsoka?"

His voice echoed again, from walls that didn't actually reflect sound, giving it a strange hue.

"You don't need to be afraid."

Her voice sounded so far away. Endlessly repeated by the Force. A little quieter each time.

"Don't focus on the anger."

She sounded so calm.

He felt a gentle cold wind blowing around his head.

"Can you feel the calmness?"

He exhaled slowly. Yes, he could feel it.

It flowed slowly over to him, like a serene river.

The river wound around him, lifting the weight of fear that had been on his shoulders for months.

He felt like he could finally breathe again.

He closed his eyes and felt the force envelop his spirit.

He let himself glide. Drifting. Far away from reality until he heard his padawan's voice clearly.

"Are you all right?" she asked. He could hear the concern in her voice.

"Yes... Yes. Thank you," he mumbled.

He thought he could sense her smile.

Could she see him?

No, that's right, he forgot. She couldn't see. Not anymore.

His hands clenched into fists as the anger returned.

He should have been more careful.

As if he had fallen out of hyperspace, his mind was thrown back with a jolt.

Anakin Skywalker jerked up, startled.

Without his Padawan.
