Part 11. The Fourth Dust - Key Rush of Taste Buds

"Tongue food" is a dessert restaurant with various cute dessert models placed around, creating the illusion of being inside a candy house. In the center, there is a large rotating table where a variety of desserts and snacks are placed and automatically circulated. The concept is similar to a sushi conveyor belt, but three tall stools are evenly spaced and fixed around the rotating table.

The Fourth Dust - Key Rush of Taste Buds: Enjoy the dreamy desserts to your heart's content, and the room will collapse in 30 minutes.

"We have 30 minutes this time! And it's all-you-can-eat. Finally, a decent level!" Toosb's mouth was watering, and Amisa couldn't help but feel tempted. However, the two of them were stopped by Jasky. "Wait a minute, there might be some traps."

"But the clue says to enjoy the dreamy desserts, right?" Amisa already had her fingers on her chin, drooling.

Jasky sighed helplessly. "I'm saying, just the phrase 'dreamy desserts' is highly suspicious. We have been deceived by one-sided words many times before. Isn't the lesson from the third level enough?"

Upon hearing this, the two finally regained their composure and restrained their salivation. Jasky pointed to the distance between the three tall stools around the rotating table. "Take a closer look. The distance between the stools is quite wide. In case of food poisoning or mental collapse after eating, we won't be able to support each other."

"But the key might be inside the food, right? Are we not going to eat anything?" Amisa asked in confusion.

"We can eat, but we must chew slowly and swallow carefully, so we can detect any abnormalities and inform each other. That's the method I came up with." Jasky glared at Toosb with anger. "Especially you."

"Ahahaha~ Don't worry, we can eat and chat at the same time, which will naturally slow down our actions," Toosb reassured.

"That's a good idea!" Amisa agreed.

"It's also possible," Jasky said, looking at the desserts, feeling a hidden worry in his heart.

The three of them suppressed the urge to gorge on the desserts and began to eat slowly, as planned, savoring each bite while engaging in conversation.

"So, Toosb, are you a mixed-race?" Amisa dug into her black sugar cake with small bites.

"Oh yeah, my mom is Taiwanese. She met my crazy dad while studying hairstyling in Japan, and they got married and opened a salon in Nagoya."

"That's why you have a close relationship with frogs, right?" Jasky, with a coffee candy in his mouth, believed that this way he could pay more attention to any abnormalities.

"Oh yeah, his behavior does resemble my dad's a bit."

"I'm also a mixed-race! My grandma said my dad is Taiwanese, and my mom is British. Although I don't have many memories of them... oh no!" Unconsciously, Amisa finished her black sugar cake and noticed her favorite white cream cake floating over. She quickly picked it up and placed it on the table.

"Don't eat too quickly," Jasky reprimanded.

"Sorry, sorry. By the way, Jasky, are you a mixed-race too?"

"How did you know?"

"Instinct."

"Women's intuition is truly terrifying, hahaha!" It had only been 10 minutes, and Toosb had already finished three plates and was now eating a freshly acquired donut.

Jasky was too lazy to stop him and returned. He lowered his head and continued eating the coffee candy while returning to the previous topic. "My mother is Taiwanese, and my father is German. My mother is more reserved in nature, and I think the cultural differences might have been one of the reasons for their divorce. It's quite a coincidence that we are all mixed-race...". He looked up and realized that Toosb's seat was empty, leaving behind the nearly finished cream cake on the table.

"Oh no! Amisa...!"

The sound of a bell echoed through the air, and the spoon dropped on the table, making a metallic sound. Amisa disappeared into thin air, leaving behind the leftover cream cake and the oblivious Mido beans.

"They were just warned to be careful moments ago!" Jasky couldn't help but complain, standing up and slamming the table. The entire restaurant was now empty, with only him and Mido beans left.

Jasky tried to calm his mind and sat down, contemplating the meaning of the hint. "The dreamy dessert on the tip of the tongue... could it mean we need to explore something from the desserts rather than finding a key?"

As he pondered, he found the blind spot in his thinking and couldn't help but smack his forehead in self-reproach. "What a fool I've been! If the key is really inside, why bother eating slowly... I should have just moved aside the food to find it."

Looking around the cute and appetizing restaurant with a variety of desserts for unlimited consumption, Jasky felt a sense of loneliness. "So quiet..."

Jasky furrowed his brows, reminiscing about how they first met at the Pudding Cup Talent Show, strolled through the White City Market, and had engaging conversations at the dining table. The beautiful memories flashed before his eyes, but now he was alone. He couldn't help but sigh, "What's the point of all this..."

Jasky gazed at the endless supply of rotating desserts, and he decided to give up on himself. He stood up and began devouring the desserts with his bare hands, just like Toosb did, wolfing them down. "Hmph! I was a lonely otaku to begin with. This is how I normally eat. Rather than clearing the level alone, I'd rather be buried under rubble!"

Jasky ate in a fit of self-abandonment. He noticed a star-shaped coffee cookie on the track and grabbed it directly, forcefully shoving it into his mouth.

In an instant, Jasky also vanished from his high stool.

"Mew mew mew mew mew mew mew!" Mido beans, witnessing the scene, flew around the empty restaurant, unsure of what to do.
