Part 6. Queen Elizbeth

Greenwich Cathedral had a Romanesque interior with various wall paintings, and a crystal chandelier with layers of snow-white cream hanging from the ceiling. Over a hundred rows of benches extend to the three-tiered podium, above which a colorful stained-glass flying buttress symmetrically frames a huge cross. A woman with a deer-patterned white snow headscarf kneels in front of the Ark of the Covenant on the podium, clasping her hands in prayer, while the deer stood quietly beside her.

An old man stops and kneel in front of the woman, saying, "I present to you Her Majesty, the White Queen."

"White Queen!" Amisa was frightened and kneels down with him.

Upon hearing the old man's call, the White Queen wiped away her tears with a handkerchief, turns around, and answers in a gentle voice, "You have worked hard, General Stohrer Lambaba. Are you still not used to riding a white horse?"

"Well, to be honest, if it weren't for this little girl's help, I might have been stuck on Lamp Tree Street. Hahaha!" the old man replied.

"General?" Amisa could not believe her eyes as she looks at the old man who had previously fallen off his horse.

"Let me reintroduce myself. I am General Stohrer Lambaba, also known as the White Old General. I hold the highest military authority in the city of White, please allow me to introduce myself." The old man introduces himself to Amisa, emitting a military dignity that even she feels oppressive.

The White Old General is the commanding marshal of White City, with the highest military authority below the queen, equivalent to a four-star general in real-life military ranks.

Seeing Amisa smiling gently, the White Queen asks, "Little girl, thank you for your help. May I know your name?"

Amisa hands over the note she had written: "I am Alice Amisa. You can call me Amisa, and the little child on my shoulder is called Mido."

"I find your writing quite familiar," the White Queen chuckles, seeming to understand Chinese characters.

"Your Majesty, this young lady seems unable to speak," General Stohrer informs the queen.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything I can do to help?" The White Queen replies.

Suddenly, Amisa feels her cheeks getting wet, and the deer's nose sniffs her, startling her. The White Queen gently touches her lips, saying, "Hehe, Heart Deer usually doesn't get close to anyone other than me. It seems this child likes you very much."

"Chirp chirp!" Mido flies onto the deer's heart-shaped antlers and jumps up and down happily. Amisa rushed in to catch Mido, while the White Queen explains, "Don't worry, this child also likes small animals. What is your name"

Alice Mischa presented a piece of paper she had written on to the White Queen. It read, "Greetings, Your Majesty. My name is Alice Misa, but you can call me Amisa. This child on my shoulder is called Mido."

"Your writing is very familiar to me," the White Queen said with a light laugh. She seemed to understand Chinese characters as well.

"Excuse me, Your Majesty. This little girl seems to be unable to speak," said the attendant.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything I can do to help?"

At that moment, Amisa suddenly felt something wet on her cheek. She was startled when she smelled it with her nose, but the White Queen touched her lips with her delicate hand and chuckled, "Hehe~ My Deer Heart never gets close to anyone except for me. It seems that this child likes you very much."

"Chirp chirp!" Mido happily flew to the heart-shaped antlers of the Deer Heart, and Mischa hurried to catch him. The White Queen explained, "Don't worry, this child also likes small animals. Your bird is very cute."

At this point, the White Queen noticed the armband peeking out of Amisa's white apron pocket: "Could it be... you're a trainee in the Red-White Skills Competition?"

"Oh no!" Mischa quickly wrote on the paper, "I was assigned by my mentor to come to the White City to pick up the assembly parts for the parade float and to give the pass to the city gate soldier."

"Oh~ the assembly parts for the parade float, right. It seems like it's been a long time since I've assembled a parade float," said the White General, noticing the color of the armband. "Grape armband... does that mean you're in A-class?"

"Wow... I remember we've only gone up to the fourth stage now, right?" The White Queen touched her lips in amazement.

"Oh my! That's really impressive! Since you're in A-class, you must have met my grandchildren, right? Their names are William, John, and Margaret," said the old man, pretending to be mysterious. Mischa was surprised but calmly nodded and smiled.

"Well then..." The old man leaned in, "Can you tell me their rankings secretly?"

"Oh, General, the Skills Competition treaty prohibits that, doesn't it?" the White Queen chuckled and scolded.

"Oh~ I just want to know if they're slacking off. If they drop out of A-class, it's unacceptable since they're the champion candidates with high expectations. If they dare to be discouraged, I'll..."

This question made Amisa break out in a cold sweat, and she pretended to write calmly, "I don't know either because the rankings were just announced."

"Oh~ I think so too~ But I hope it's not true. If it is, those little rascals who drop out of A-class will be unbelievable. They must maintain their A-class ranking since they're the champion candidates with high expectations. If they dare to lose heart, the old..."

"Ah, I hope not. If it's true, these little rabbits demoting would be unacceptable. They must maintain their A-rank, after all, they are the champion candidates with high expectations. If they dare to let us down, I will teach them a lesson!"

"General, you're too harsh on the kids..."

"Your Majesty, please forgive me for speaking bluntly. This is a serious matter. The Red and White Talent Competition concerns the survival of our country. No matter what, we must win the championship. Recently, there have been more and more rumors of unstable situations. When we return to the castle, we must discuss with the ministers and come up with appropriate championship policies!"

General white had a stern expression, and Queen Elizabeth's eyes showed pity as she smiled wryly. Her heart deer rubbed against her cheeks, perhaps to cheer her up.

Amisa thought that the Red and White Talent Competition was like the Olympics or World Cup in reality. She could feel the importance and determination of the people of White City to win. At the same time, the hostility towards the Red Heart was genuine. As far as she could feel, the Red Queen was probably the big devil in this world.

"Wait a minute! How can they understand my language? Could it be that......" Amisa thought of the Black Feather's mention of parents and believed that the royal family of White City might know something, so she quickly wrote her parents' problem on a note.

At this time, uniform footsteps were heard outside, and a chess soldier ran into the church with a horse-shaped helmet in his hand. "General! Your iron horse bicycle has been repaired and brought here."

"Tooslow!" General White scolded harshly, then turned to bow to Queen Elizabeth. "Your Majesty, we should return to the palace now."

"Understood."

"Wait!" Amisa immediately tore off the note she had written and handed it out. However, Queen Elizabeth suddenly held her hand gently, her face close to Amisa's ear, emitting a charming fragrance. "You were the one at the sugar jar pavilion just now, right? I'll keep it a secret for you."

Before Amisa could react, Queen Elizabeth took her note and stood up straight, showing a sweet smile. "Dear Amisa, I feel like I've known you for a long time. Come to the White Palace Castle to sit with me when you have time. I think we can talk for a whole day."

"Ah, young lady, farewell if we are fated to meet again!"

After speaking, Queen Elizabeth rode her heart deer and left the church with General Bai and the chess soldier. Although Amisa was confused by the Queen's last action, she believed that she had other things to deal with at the moment.
