Lu Bowen ignored the dramatic man and stared at the woman occupying most of his thoughts.

Looking at the dazzling beauty clad in an elegant dress displaying her white, slim legs, he couldn't help but marvel at her more.

At the same time, he wants to take her with him and prevent other men from admiring her like this.

But she would not like it. His Lihua is not someone restricted by her circumstances.

If he tries to be excessively possessive of her, their friendship between them will end, and he doesn't want that.

'Step by step,' Lu Bowen berated himself inwardly, staring at his beautiful fiancée's widened eyes.

'Mine,' He selfishly declared deep down, wishing he could say it to her.

Oblivious to her fiancé's unrest, Lin Hua entered the balcony after Fang Weiyi with her stunned gaze fixed on the handsome man.

''W-What are you doing here?'' She couldn't help but ask, confused with his attendance.

Lu Bowen was not the one to attend banquets in her previous life. 

He also has the same attitude towards banquets in this life because she has not heard of him attending a banquet.

''I wanted to see you,'' Lu Bowen responded, taking all the constant changes on her face.

He somehow liked it.

Lihua's calm heart reacted wildly at this statement. she wanted to ask 'why' but restrained herself from being too straightforward. 

 She had to admit that Lu Bowen was the only one who could make her keep her thoughts to herself even if she wanted to say them out.

As a boss, she was free to say anything she wanted as long as it wasn't stupid. As a sister and cousin, they are her small family and work together to make their home a happy one.

And As a friend.... the only person she could fit into the category of friends was Fang Weiyi.

Lu Bowen and Lin Lihua turned in the direction of the voice.

''Yeah... I am still here, a single person,'' Fang Weiyi smiled and waved at both of his friends.

He wanted to cry at his single fate when he sensed the atmosphere of love between them.

''Then you can go,'' Lu Bowen could care less about him

''.....'' 

Fang Weiyi was not surprised at his dear friend's attitude toward him when Lin Lihua was around.

He wiped the fake invisible tear with his index finger and sighed dejectedly, ''Ahhhh... My poor life.''

His lips formed into a pout and he left with drooping shoulders. He looked pitiful.
