I've been rereading couple of Julie Garwood historical romances and maybe that is why, I got this idea for an Arrogant-Determined-Stubborn hero, who refuses to take a girl's no as no. I know, this story is going to piss off many but just had to write it.

Gauri excitedly smiles as she went through all the post wedding rituals. She was excited and nervous about her new life with Krish. Her mother-in-law, Pinky, offers her a spoonful of sweet something. She eats it, and Pinky, scoops a spoonful, as she moved to her son. she offers it to Krish, and Krish eats it.

Feeling her eyes on him, he turns to look at her. Gauri happily smiles at him. Krish forces a smile.

Gauri frowns seeing that his smile wasn't genuine. "All okay?" Gauri asks him in concern.

"Yeah... yeah." Krish replies with a nod then he asks her in concern. "Are you okay?"

"yeah." Gauri replies with a smile.

Hearing her, he smiles genuinely at her and she smiles happily.

Soon, everyone started talking about the next ritual, finding the ring. While Gauri watched everyone setting it up, from the corner of her eyes, she could see Krish checking his mobile. He had been doing that since a long time.

"Why do you keep checking your phone?" Gauri asks him curiously.

Krish shakes his head and keeps it away. he politely smiles at her and then looks at everyone preparing for the ritual.

"Okay, come." someone excitedly calls them.

He stands up, and Gauri was about to stand up when she sees his hand. Gauri looks up and sees Krish waiting for her with his hand extended towards her. she smiles and takes his hand as she stood up.

Seeing her heavy dress and jewellery, he asks her in concern. "How are you able to stand in this? Aren't you tired?"

"It's heavy." Gauri admits to him.

"Do you want to change?"

Gauri was considering that when a loud mouth aunty calls out. "You can get her out of her clothes for suhaag raat. Now, come and find the ring."

Amidst all laughter, Gauri turns completely red hearing the outrageous comment. Blushing profusely, she looks at her husband and sees him awkward. Gauri almost chuckled seeing that Krish was awkward at such a comment, of all the people, Krish!

"You should learn to shut your mouth, Bua." Krish tells her with a frown.

"Oh Krish Baba is shy." She calls out making everyone laugh.

Krish gives up while Gauri blushed and chuckled.

"Sorry about that." Krish whispers to her as he led her towards the large vessel kept in the middle of the room.

"Aren't you being a hypocrite, Krish?" Gauri teases him in a whisper.

"What?" Krish asks her confused.

"You've said even more outrageous things to me." Gauri reminds him.

Krish gulps hearing that and looks around to see if anyone was listening to them. then, he awkwardly explains, "It is one thing to say to your fiancé and another to have it said out loud in front of people."
