So where were the spiders
While the fly tried to break our bones?

"Jade? What are you doing here so early?" Jade looked over at the man in surprise. Usually she was able to get here before everyone else and then leave without anyone noticing. She shifted nervously on her feet. "Sorry honey, one of my students is here... I gotta go, love you!"

"I, uh. Hi Mr. LaRusso. I was just, uh..." Jade didn't want to admit that she had becoming to the garden whenever she felt stressed out.

Sometimes after a gig she'd just come to the dojo and take a nap by the calming koi pond at 4 am.

Daniel noticed the discomfort and smiled. Even though Jade was horribly offensive and brash, he could see that the girl was calming down emotionally. She wasn't as violent or prone to punch as she was in the beginning.

She didn't know he knew she came to meditate when no one was around.

"It's fine, Jade. I was about to go set up and get the lesson ready for today. Would you like to help?" Jade looked away and rubbed her neck.

"Yeah, I guess. I don't got nothing else to do so might as well help the old man out so he don't break his back." Daniel smirked, knocking the girl lightly with his shoulder.

When the two entered the dojo they heard punches in the backyard.

"Did you see Robby come in?" Questioned Daniel as they made their way towards the back. Jade shook her head.

"No. I didn't know anyone was here." It wasn't unusual for Robby to be there early. The teen enjoyed beating the bag up during the cool morning weather.

"Robby! I guess the early worm ca-" Jade's heart dropped at the sight of the creepy old guy from the festival.

She knew he was bad news.

"It's a cute little place you got here." Daniel pushed the girl behind him, out of the way of Kreese.

"Jade, stay behind me." Jade snorted, pulling out her butterfly knife but left the blade covered.

"Do you teach karate, or gardening?" Jade eyed the cigar, her body starting to crave a smoke, something she hadn't had in a few weeks.

"So this is what it's come to... breaking and entering?"

"To be fair, Mr. LaRusso, nothing was broken and you did say all were welc- I'll shut up, promise.

"I'm just here to say thank you." Jade's eyes narrowed.

"Well, for taking our weakest soldiers from our ranks, of course. That was kind." Jade scoffed.

" 'Soldiers.' This man really do be loco, Mr. LaRusso, calling kids soldiers. I say we go ahead and fuck him u-"

"Jade. Knock it off."

Jade frowned. Mr. LaRusso never used that kind of tone with her. No matter how much she got under his skin, her obscenities, and complaints... he was always so patient.

Kreese's eyes scanned over the girl, making Jade feel a little dirty.

"We were all kids once, I think your little soldier knows better than most." Jade scoffed and crossed her arms.

"You don't know shit, old man."

"You may think you got the best of Johnny Lawrence. But I promise you, this time I won't let him lose."

Jade was really starting to get concerned that this man had walked out of an old folks home for dementia patients. He really calling petty high school drama war. This man was actually insane.
