Gigs were slow.

Maybe that's why Jade picked up a shift at her tia's restaurant that night serving nachos to drunks.

"Oi, Jade! Un grupo se dirige hacia usted."

"No hay problema, tia!"

The mint haired teen started over to her section before freezing at the crowd who just happened to be in her section.

No fucking way

The back of Hawk's head greeted her eyes and it was actually Demetri who noticed her first. His eyes widened and he panicked internally.

Gritting her teeth, Jade forced her way over to the group of teens and took out a notepad.

"Bienvenidos a Tia's Kitchen," Jade gritted out, not making eye contact with the inhabitants. "Soy Jade, your server for the evening. What can I get you to start out with?" Her tia made sure that she put the Mexican accent on her own name, pronouncing the 'j' with her throat and the 'e' with a flick of her tongue.

The table blinked, minds reeling at the shock. Hawk let out a huge shit-eating grin as he wrapped in arm around Moon.

"Hola, Hades. We'd like a round of 'sare-vay-sas" and supreme nacho load at each table." Jade narrowed her eyes, her grip increasing at the incorrect pronunciation. He knew how much she hated it when he didn't try to speak her language correctly.

"Sounds great. I'm going to need some ID." Jade smirked at the boy. Hawk's eyes narrowed as he slowly pulled out his wallet and handed over the ID. The teen snatched the ID and looked at it through close examination. "What's your date of birth?"

Hawk scowled and reached across the table to grab the piece of plastic, knowing full well she wasn't going to give him the drink.

"Just a coke then?"

"Fuck off, Lester."

"Ooooh, little gatito has claws. And what can I get la belleza?" Green eyes shifted towards Moon, not an ounce of hatred on her. Instead, Moon found her face going red at the intense stare and compliment.

"C-coke." Jade smirked, the girl falling deeper into a blush.

"Perfecto." Jade almost purred as she leaned into her lower alto voice and winked at the girl. Hawk saw the exchange and shoved his arm back around his girlfriends shoulders and shot Jade a glare.

"Mr. Pibb, for el tigre?" Demetri nodded.

"Uhm, 'see.'" Jade snorted, finding the attempt endearing.

"And por la linda luchadora?"

"Coke will be fine, thanks."

With another wink at Moon, Jade left their table to get everyone else's orders. She felt quite satisfied in the comfort level at the table.

Hawk's glares were feeding her fire.

.....

"Hey, Hades. I need another coke!" Jade's eye twitched at the holler and walked over with a fake smile. She set the new cup of Coke on the table.

"Will that be it?"

"We need some 'mas' sour cream, el rapido."
