"Rachit's Point of View,"

I lost track of time today while debating the marketing plan for a new project at work.

The time was around 6:30 p.m. It drew my gaze to Riya's office as I prepared to leave the office.

I just peeked through the glass of her cabin door to see if her cabin light was still on.

She was using her laptop to do some work. When I arrived at her door, she seemed completely oblivious to my presence. If she wished, I could drop her off there. I figured she wouldn't get auto rickshaw because it was getting dark outside.

However, after observing her altered behavior in the morning, I decided not to disturb her any further.

Just as soon as I stepped into the parking lot to get the car key, I realized I had forgotten to bring it with me.

Oh, my goodness, I forgot the key to my cabin in moving in. Because of my careless actions, I reprimanded myself and apologized to myself.

I asked the pantry boy to carry the key outside the office when I called him on the phone.

As soon as the lift door on the office floor opened, Riya was there in front of my eyes.

I could see from her expression that she was curious about why I was still in the office so late in the day.

Instead of waiting for her to ask, I just told her I fetched my car key since I'd forgotten it. Even if she didn't believe me, she had a convincing look on her face when the pantry boy gave over the car keys.

As I stood in the lift, waiting for her to enter, Riya made her way up the stairs instead.

"You are furious with me, not with yourself. Why are you hurting yourself because you are angry with me?"

I gave up and said, "What's happening to you? Can't we take the lift together?"

She entered the lift quietly and stood in a corner after carefully listening to what I had to say.

She was standing in an awkward position in a corner as soon as the lift door shut.

"What happened to you?

Why are you ignoring me?" I inquired in a frustrated tone.

After hearing what I had to say, she did not respond.

This made me angry, so I lost my cool and shouted, "I'm asking you something.

Because I didn't like how ignorant she was, I demanded, "Answer me!"

She didn't give a second thought to the fact that I existed.

I jerked her shoulders in my direction and whispered, "Tell me what happened?" to make her aware of my proximity.

My voice was clear because I was angry and hurt because I couldn't accept her disappointment.

There is a possibility that this time she noticed my distress and said, "Nothing happened."

Hearing her response only fueled my rage.

I repeated her remarks, "Oh, nothing happened."

There was a tenth floor to go up. She took a long, hard look at my face before trying to ignore me once more.

Until now, no one has treated me this way.

To my annoyance, why does this girl do this to me over and over?

"What do you think of yourself?" I questioned her, pressing her shoulders with both of my hands against the wall of the lift.

"Have I been worrying about you for a long time now?
