"Oh, hey Mark. Long time no see"

"Duh, you never texted me over winter break"

"Oops- heh, sorry, I was kinda busy"

"Doing what? Feeding your blankets?"

"Nah, I was talking to someone"

"Someone we know?"

The boys started walking down the hall.

"No, I met him online but he says he lives near me"

"You shouldn't trust him, he could be some internet creep-o"

"I know, I know. It's not like I'm giving him my address and zip code"

"Don't talk to him too much, you might forget about your best friend"

"Who?"

Mark punched his arm, recieving an angry glare from Hyuck.

"Calm down I was just kidding"

"Don't joke about that, you know I have..problems"

"I know, I'm sorry" Hyuck stopped while Mark looked at him confusedly.

"Thanks for walking me to class" He kissed Mark's cheek before walking into class.

Mark froze, blinking repeatedly. He started walking towards his class, mumbling an "Okay" anytime someone asked him something.

...

A few weeks later, Haechan had started to skip school, immediately worrying Mark.

Mark walked up the steps, opening Hyuck's front door with the spare key he gave him.

"Hyuck? Are you awake?" Mark called out.

Not receiving an answer, he walked upstairs to find Donghyuck, staring contently at his computer, headphones blasting and keyboard clacking rhythmically.

"Hyuck"

Silence.

"HYUCK"

Still silence.

Mark yanked the headphones off of his head. Hyuck paused, blinking a few times before turning his head in Mark's direction.

"What?"

"You missed school, like, four times this week"

"So?"

"So, I've had to collect your homework and make excuses for you the entire time"

"Sorry" Hyuck turned his attention back to the computer screen.

"What have you been doing this entire time?"

"Stuff"

"You're messaging that guy again, aren't you?"

"Meh"

"Hyuck-"

Time to make a choice.
