DELANEY'S P.O.V.

It was Friday and none of us were at school. We were all packing. The triplets were running around excited. They always loved it when we did the ceremony. They can't do the ceremony until they come into power. Everyone was running around trying to find things that they needed. Ebony and I finally finished and rushed to put our bags in the back of dads Ute.

We were taking two cars. Dad was taking his Ute with mum and the triplets. Bethany was taking her car, seeing as it was the one with the most space, with the rest of us. We always took the Ute so we could fit all our camping stuff in it. By twelve o'clock we were all ready and set to go.

"Remember Bethany, always follow me, no detours," dad warned.

Bethany nodded.

It was a five hour drive to beach. All of us dozed off at one point, except Bethany of course. Some of us read, some of us listened to music. It was a very boring drive.

We arrived at the beach and we all whooped. We then took all our bags and whatever equipment we could carry and took it to the boat. That took about fifteen minutes and then we were off. We all laughed and joked, all of us excited for tonight.

It took us an hour to get to our island. We literally owned this island. Our ancestors discovered this island in the early fourteen hundreds and kept it to do out ceremonies. It's been passed down from generation to generation. The island came from Dad's side.

We then again grabbed our bags and whatever other equipment we could carry and walked up the short path to the house. It's was the house we occupied for a couple of days once a month. The triplets immediately ran outside to their tree house dad built us ages ago.

We didn't really use it any more but the triplets did. Dad kissed mum on the cheek before heading towards the door.

"Who's setting up the fire with me?" Dad called.

"I am," Ariel immediately called out.

"I might as well," Bethany said as well.

"I'll stay with mum," I said.

Ebony and Cassie went to set up the camp fire. I walked into the kitchen and organised food to be taken down tonight. We put some meat in the esky and other foods to cook over the fire. It was a bit of a walk from the house to the campfire so we always made sure we were set for the night.

After a while dad came in to take the food. Cassie and ebony came in earlier to take the chairs. Dad picked up one while Bethany made the other hover after dad. We all travelled to the campfire to see it was already lit. Ebony, Cassie, Ariel and the triplets were already seated.

Dad and Bethany set the esky's down and took some meat out. Dad carefully set a grill tray over the fire and started cooking the meat. Once the meat was ready we all started eating and telling jokes.

"Oh! I've got one! What do you call cheese that isn't yours? Nacho cheese!" Ebony called.

We all laughed. Ebony made up the corniest jokes but they always made us laugh.

A couple of hours later dad looked up to the moon, "Looks like she's almost here. Let’s go!" Dad ordered.

We all stood up and spread ourselves along the beach. Dad was at the start of the line and in three meter gaps it was Bethany, Ariel, Ebony, me then Cassie. Mum was standing at the other end. We all sat on our knees and waited. The water on the beach started to glow faintly.

Dad then manipulated the water in a ball the size of a basketball. He then sent it in a straight over to Bethany and she caught it. She then sent it to Ariel and it went on like that until it was handed to mum. She then threw it into the air and it exploded. As the rain exploded a thing silvery like came from the moon and connected to dad. It was a silvery rope that went from dad, to us, to mum then back to the moon.

We all glowed from the energy the moon was giving us. After about fifteen minutes the glow around our bodies faded and the silvery rope retracted. The ceremony was over. It was simple, but beautiful.

We spent the whole weekend going water skiing and surfing and a whole lot of other water related activities. It was a lot of fun. It was the last night here and we were back at the campfire. We were telling scary stories this time. We sent the triplets to bed so we were having some fun.

Dad had let us had a few bottles of beer so we were all just a tiny bit on the tipsy side.

"Remember when I almost set Magia's fur on fire?" Ariel asked.

I gasped dramatically, "Yes! Mum thought I did it!" I accused.

Mum just rolled her eyes.

"I was this close, this close!" Ariel laughed, making a tiny space between her index finger and thumb.

We continued talking until mum and dad decided to go to bed. After they were out of hearing range, "Who thinks they're going to have drunk sex?" Bethany blurted.

"Ew!" We all called.

"It burns!" Ariel yelled dramatically pretending to clutch her ears in pain.

We all laughed at Ariel's horrible and dramatic acting.

A log hovered from the log pile and into the fire. We all were silent as we watched the flames eat away at the wood. It was moments like these I loved, Just spending time with the family after a long day of fun activities.

"We better head to bed," Ariel suggested.

We all agreed and kicked sand onto the dying fire. We all made our way over to the house and then we were a shriek and a rustle of plants. We all looked to see Cassie in the bushes.

"A rock just tried to kill me!" She lied.

We all laughed and Ebony helped her up.

We silently entered the house and separated to go to our own rooms. The house was pretty big so we all got separate rooms. Even though tomorrow was Monday we wouldn't be at school. I wonder if Adrian was starting to worry. I groaned and buried my face in the pillows. Here I was thinking about him again. Eventually I fell asleep.

I jerked awake as the alarm blared. I groggily flopped my hand on the bedside table and tried to find the off button on the alarm. Once I found it I made my way to the bathroom. I took off my shirt and caught sight of my witches mark spreading over my back. It started at the small of my back in the shape of a tree trunk then spreading and branches decorated the upper half of my back with names shaped as leaves. It was the lineage of my witch bloodline.

I turned around and studied it for a moment before taking of the rest of my clothes and jumping into the shower. I walked into my room and put on some jeans and a long sleeved shirt. I tied my damp hair into a bun and put on some ballet flats. I grabbed my already packed bag and walked downstairs. I then walked outside and followed the path to the beach where the boat was. I dropped my bag there along with others.

When I got back into the house everyone was in the dining room having breakfast. I quickly sat down and grabbed some toast with eggs and bacon.

"I could stay here forever," Ariel sighed.

"I think we all would if we could," Cassie laughed.

Once breakfast was finished Ebony and I stood up to help mum with the dishes. We got them done even though we were covered in bubbles. I glared at Ebony playfully before following everybody to the boat.
