Thanks to Mason_Williams for giving me the idea for this rant.
This is going to be a touchy subject: homosexuality. I know some of you are really passionate for gay rights, while others may be well against them, but PLEASE guys PLEASE, do NOT bash each other out on this one. Don't call people "ignorant" and shit because it doesn't make you any better of a person.
I'm a Christian (and proud!) and I absolutely hate it when people attack us - but I also hate it when we attack others. So let's just be civilized here pls pls
One love everybody

You know how there are so many stereotypes on wattpad? Well, there's also another stereotype:
The gay best friend.
So I'm not here going to preach about whether it's right or wrong and shit like that, but like all the other stereotypes I've exposed, I will do a little story on how some Wattpad books I've come across typically depict gay guys.
To be honest it's so stupid and childish when authors do this
I hope y'all don't get offended by my example though, you know this is just for laughs.
Okay LEGO!

"Amanda!" Came a girly voice from outside the door. Suddenly, Jason burst into the room.
"Girllll! Where you credit card at, we going shoppingggg!" He squealed, wailing his arms in the air.
"Yaaay!" I jumped. It was so amazing having a gay guy best friend, because I got to go shopping with him and stuff. I called him Jay-Jay.
"Giiirrrrlll you gotta get that cute scarf for that cute guy you're crushing on!" He winked.
"He's so cute right?"
"Sooooo cute, like gimme that all day!" He giggled.
We burst out of the house with purses in our hands and waltzed away into forever 21 and shit
Like he was the best, I didn't understand why people hated on gay guys I mean he is so sweet and knows which colour matches my hair

So, here's what annoyed me. Let me break it down for you:
1. These authors are those kinds of people who say, "I love gay guys! Like how amazing would it be to have a gay best friend, like omg we would have so much fun!"
Okay, hold up bitch. You been watching too much glee.
Like that's the reason you say you like gay people? Like seriously omg
What happened to judging people based on their character?
This annoys me no end because gay guys are PEOPLE, not your damn accessories. Like I even hate referring to them as "gay guys" because they're the same as each and all of us grrrr

2. Apparently all gay guys like to shop
Like why do we have this idea that they like shopping
I mean I'm sure some do but like srsly stop generalizing people
Ugh idek
And for the record, some straight guys like to shop too.

3. They say stupid things like "gurrrrrlll" at the end of every sentence
If someone I knew did that in real life I would beat them tbh

4. They're basically depicted as females
So yea. In all these points, the common denominator is that they are portrayed as female characters - but with male names. You can't be stereotyping a certain group of people and claim to be in support of them, because the fact that you're going along with such a stupid stereotype may actually prove how little you know about them.

We all probably know a gay person, whether it's personally or not. They aren't fucking females. They don't fucking have vaginas so pls pls if you need a best friend to take you shopping why not take Susan, huh? Jay-Jay might as well be playing FIFA with his brother - problem?
Just staahhhpppp with this useless-ass stereotypes

Btw guys I have plans to marry Sam Smith
You are all invited to our wedding thanks

I'm pretty sure at least one of you will ask what my stance on this is (because I'm a Christian, eh?) so lol I think I've said this before but well, here I'll say it again:
I personally just believe that it really shouldn't define who they are as people.
Like if you're nice to me, I like you. Even if you're gay.
If you're not nice to me, I don't like you. Even if you're gay.
You get me?
Yea but please don't get emotional on this guys ily xx
