So like wattpad authors (fancfic authors are so guilty of this) are beginning to put so much deep shit in their stories that it's starting to piss me off.

I was reading this book which was so nice like it was about this boy who couldn't speak and this girl fell in love with him even through they never spoke

Then she went into a coma

Then it turned out he could speak-_-

I won't name the book, but you probably know it. I loved it at first because the author really showed that love isn't always perfect or how you expect it. Then s/he went ahead to make the boy so normal and perfect when it turned out he could speak, I just stopped reading it.

I also saw another where a girl was pretending to be fat in school but was actually fucking thin in real life like what kind of bullshit is that like I should have read on to discover why she was pretending but I was so repulsed by it because SOME PEOPLE ARE FAT, NOT BY CHOICE, SO WHY MOCK FAT PEOPLE LIKE THAT 

fat people are so nice I like fat people 

What this little section is trying to say is that, I'm not a big fan when these books give a certain and different challenge, where people fall in love with others despite and in spite of their differences (in this case the inability to talk, the levels of fat in the body), then it turns out that they're actually perfect human beings. Like grrrr

But that's not too bad, I don't think.

What my initial rant was going to be about:

It's beginning to piss me off BIG TIME how every fucking wattpad story suddenly has to introduce a character who is in a coma or some stupid shit like that.

Look, don't get me wrong, I don't want to poke fun at people with horrible sickness and stuff, but some of these wattpad writers have overused it in their writing that it's just so fucking stupid

Like if there was a penny for every wattpad story with someone in a coma, we'd all be millionaires

Stupid joke -_-

I'd have to say that fan fiction stories are the most guilty of this like after they fall in love in chapter 1 and have hot sex in chapters 2 and 3, the chick will fucking get into a coma somehow then 1D will write her a song then she'll wake up.

And btw; how is it that these girls continue narrating the story in 1st person while they're in a coma lol bitches be like "Harry cried on the steps of his door, jumped in the car and returned to the hospital to be by my side." Oh cool, didn't know you had some sort of omnipresent powers! You're everywhere? #AvengersGotNothinOnYou ;)

Firstly why do they all choose a coma? Like seriously

But bad boy Zayn Malik will kiss the coma away won't he, he will heal that brain damage just like dat and the doctors will be baffled. I mean because love is more powerful than anything else, even after you just met for two days.

Like his tears on your skin are so magical #Tangled lol

Another method by which these authors put deep shit in their stories is by giving characters 'tragic pasts' or some shit like that.

Usually someone died in a car crash or something...and the character was in it too.

I wonder how every family member dies except them. And they don't even come out with a scratch or anything.

Well, either no scratches, or a coma.

It's how you as the author is feeling, I guess. Do you feel that you want to prolong your readers' agony? Go for the coma. Or, do you want to make the readers wonder what 'deep, dark secret' the character is holding? Car crash & no bruises it is!

But I guess because of TFIOS everyone will have cancer now

In fact I've seen a considerable amount of cancer ones and I hate them so much because ZERO FUCKING RESEARCH is done so the name of the cancer doesn't even correspond with the treatment or anything ("I have leukemia, so my bones have tumours.")

Like these characters are like, "I was losing so much hair already" and they haven't even done a session of chemo. Like really?

But these comas honestly

There aren't enough hospitals pls pls stop putting everyone in a coma.

Hahaha furthermore, when they wake up, they never remember anyone except their lover (from One Direction).

Serious talk. You can't just throw in diseases and shit like that to make your story seem deep and emotional. It's not right to play around with these things.
